INFO PACK “Graphical Facilitation” KA1 Youth Mobility - Training Course 30th October – 8th November Radzovce-Obručná (Slovakia) Project Overview Our project will introduce the topic of graphic facilitation, how to improve visual literacy by learning new ways and techniques of applying graphic facilitation in supporting a group’s learning process. We will understand why people have different learning needs and why graphic facilitation is an accessible tool for everybody. We will develop our visual vocabulary and we will give MEANING and FORM to our ideas. We will help you to use mind mapping to talk, brainstorm, analyse, dialogue, reach conclusion, find solutions. Grab markers and go close to the flipchart. Techniques, tricks and tips will be presented as well on how to use these tools in your work! During 10 days we will discover the benefits of graphic facilitation and experience storytelling and recording stories in the community. Who We Are Obciansky Spolok aims to develop social competences, developing, maintaining and support the interests, culture and free-time activities of Hungarian minority in South Slovakia through creative programs and events with focus to promote a better understanding of cultural diversity, helping our society to evolve from multicultural substance to intercultural one. We are active on a local and regional level, but we also organize large scale international activities cooperating with similar organizations in neighbouring county. Volunteers are working with all ages from different background and also cooperate with “Jozsef Karman” local grammar school of the Hungarian national minority. What We Gonna Do Our goal is to organise a training course between 30.10. - 8.11.2015 in Radzovce-Obrucna, Slovakia for 46 participants from 10 non-profit organizations from 10 countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Lithuania about how to apply graphic facilitation in their work. Responsibility for the information and views expressed in this publication lies entirely with the author(s). 2 Participants Selection Partners from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Macedonia, Poland and Lithuania are expected to select 4 participants for the project, from Slovakia and Romania they are expected to select 7 participants. The age of participants has to be over 18 years old. Please invite all your applicants to complete the following application form for the project: www.obcianskyspolok.org/gf We would prefer if you would use this application form so we can track the selection process. There is also an approval workflow attached to the form, that means you will get an email notification when a new applicant from your country submits the from, the email will contain a link to the applicant where you can approve or reject the applicant. In both cases an email notification will be sent to the applicant, if accepted informing them of successful selection and further instructions or informing them of being on waiting list if rejected. We will create you an account on our website to be able to access the applicants and the approval workflow. Note: If you do not succeed in recruiting suitable participants for this project until 26th of September 2015, the project coordinator will recruit replacement participants from your country on your behalf through platforms such Salto or Facebook groups. However, we hope that it will not be the case. Please let us know if you need help finding participants. Accommodation and Venue: Our project will take place at recreational center Hotel Perla Obručná - www.rsobrucna.sk The hotel is located in the heart of “Cerová Vrchovina” highlands near village Radzovce, southern Slovakia, 28 km from Lučenec, near Hungarian border. The participants will be accommodated in shared rooms mixed with other countries. Each room has its own bathroom. We will provide accommodation for the duration of the project. If someone wish to stay longer or arrive there earlier, he/she has to arrange this directly with the Hotel and cover the costs of the extra night/s. The resort offers possibility of sports and relaxation activities. In good weather, we can use the swimming pool, tennis court, barbecue terrace, lounge with billiards and pin-pong table and darts. Responsibility for the information and views expressed in this publication lies entirely with the author(s). 3 How to Get There The hotel itself is not accessible by any public transport so the participants has to arrive to one of these two cities where we will organize pickup by cars: Budapest, Hungary – ideal of most participants Filakovo, Slovakia – ideal for Slovak and Czech participants. Please make sure that all the participants form one country arrives with the same flight/train. To Budapest: the participants can come to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport by plan or to Budapest train station where we pick up the group. General Information Weather conditions: the average temperature in October is between 10-14 0C during the day and in the night hours the temperature is between 3-9 0C. Please check accuweather.com for more updated information about the weather. Dress Code: Casual, sport, waterproof jackets and comfortable shoes for indoor and outdoor activities Cultural Night: a mixed, enjoyable, cultural night is waiting for you! There will be many different countries and cultures. So be ready to stock yourself with cultural elements. To contribute to this night and present your culture, you can make some preparations. Get some cultural drinks and foods, prepare a cultural music and dance. Meals: we will provide you with three meals/day and two coffee breaks. The meals will take into account all the participants dietary aspects such as allergies, intolerance and preferences. We will also have vegetarian and vegan menu. Dietary/ Special requirements: please inform us as soon as possible if any participant have any dietary requirements or any other special requests. Transport Reimbursement Participants from Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Lithuania are entitled for reimbursement of travel costs according to Erasmus + travel distances, up to 275 EUR for round trip, based on relevant supporting documents. Participants from Czech Republic and Slovakia are entitled to reimbursement of up to 180 EUR for round trip, based on relevant supporting documents. The general rule of thumb for travel reimbursement for participants is to use the most economical mean of travel to the project. In order to be entitled for reimbursement the participant have to comply with the following guidelines: The travel has to be the most economical mean for the group as the whole Travel by car is eligible and preferred since it’s the most flexible and in most cases the most economic For plane, train or bus the ticket has to be economy/2nd class Financed by the European Union. Responsibility for the information and views expressed in this publication lies entirely with the author(s). 5 Examples of ineligible transportation: priority boarding, seat reservation, additional language, business class tickets, plane tickets on longer routes and with stops for one night or more on the way, taxi, travel starting or ending in different country then the sending organization’s country, etc. For electronic ticket/receipt/invoice the document has to be delivered in PDF format. If it’s on a website, it has to be saved as PDF or printed into PDF. Screenshots or forwarded emails are no accepted. If no electronic version is available, the original transport ticket and receipt/invoice has to be delivered to the project coordinator. (We recommend purchasing electronic tickets whenever it’s possible because of ease of use) The participant is responsible for delivering all the documents required for reimbursement The deadline for delivering the documents is 30 days after the end of the project The travel dates can be max 3 days prior/post project The participant has to be on the project for the whole duration and has to attend all the sessions Please consult with us before buying your ticket so we can confirm that it’s fine. Note: reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt/invoice. If you bought your ticket in your local currency, we will calculate your travel costs in EURO based on the exchange rates of European Central Bank.
