Algirdas Saulis Ramona Stephens- Zemaitis For 2007, the Lithuanian Foundation’s Board authorized allocation up to a total of $ 600,000 for Robertas Vitas scholarships and grants. Grants Committee Algirdas Saulis (LF) The Scholarship Subcommittee, consisting of Tadas Kulbis (Chair), Sigita Baniulyte, Jurate Chair Budrys, Vanesa Kaselionis, Juozas Polikaitis, and Andrius Tamulis, evaluated 118 requests and Vytautas Kamantas (LF) recommended granting 81 scholarships, totaling $124,338. The Grant Committee composed of Lithuanian Foundation Directors, Algirdas Saulis (Chair), Rasa Juskys (LAC) Janina Birute Litvinas (LAC) Vytautas Kamantas, Almis Kuolas, and Jurate Budrys (Alternate) and Lithuanian American Dainius Skripkauskas (LAC) Community, Inc. delegates, Rasa Juskys, Janina Birute Litvinas, Dainius Skripkauskas, and Elona Elona Vaisnys (LAC-alt.) Vaisnys (Alternate), convened to consider 173 grant requests totaling over $2,000,000. After thorough consideration of all the requests, a total of $413,314 was allocated to fully or partially Scholarship Subcommittee support 128 projects. Tadas Kulbis Chair Sigita Baniulyte The preparation for the allocation meetings was very demanding of the time and patience of Jurate Budrys all Committee members. I am grateful to all for their energy and their dedication, which made Vanesa Kaselionis the task very manageable and smooth. My sincere thanks go to Zivile Ramasauskiene, Grants Juozas Polikaitis Andrius Tamulis Coordinator, LF office staff, and volunteer Dalia Jecys for successful document digitization and tireless data organization. They were a major contributor to the success of the project. Officers Ramunas Astrauskas, President The Lithuanian Foundation Board of Directors, at their June 26, 2007 meeting, approved the Valdas Ausra recommended grant and scholarship allocations. The Grants Committee will convene this fall to Sigita Balzekas Saulius Cyvas, Treasurer distribute the remaining $6,520 for scholarships and $55,828 for grants.
