The main rivers in the county length is below 60 km. The most important stream in Tulcea is the Danube. The largest known flow occurred in 1897, when hydrometric station Ceatal Ismail estimated a value of about 19,000 cm / s and in 1970 when Isaccea station measured a value to 18,000 m³ / s.
