The hydrographic network of Tulcea county, except the Danube, is relatively poor.

The main rivers in the county length is below 60 km. The most important stream in Tulcea is the Danube. The largest known flow occurred in 1897, when hydrometric station Ceatal Ismail estimated a value of about 19,000 cm / s and in 1970 when station measured a value to 18,000 m³ / s. - Development and approval of a county plan for flood defenses; - Organizing information flow for warning / alarm population at county level; - Organizing periodic verification of technical and operational condition of hydrotechnical constructions for flood defenses; - Organizing periodic flood simulation exercises to check the functioning of the information flow for warning / alarm population and ability to cooperate between the structures involved in the management of emergency situations caused by floods; - Organizing regular actions to verify the stage of watercourses and the way municipalities have managed and maintained ditches and gutters; - Providing regular training for mayors and persons responsible for warning the population Thank you for your attention !
