Film It Adalah Film Hollywood Bergenre Horror Yang Tayang Pada Tahun 2017 BAB IV GAMBARAN UMUM FILM IT (2017) Gambar 2 Cover film it (2017) Sumber: Google Images 4.1 Film it (2017) Film it adalah film Hollywood bergenre horror yang tayang pada tahun 2017. Film ini merupakan remake dari film aslinya yang rilis pada tahun 1990 dengan judul yang sama. Film it merupakan adaptasi dari novel horror terkenal karya Stephen King yang rilis pada tahun 1986. Film ini bercerita tentang sosok makhluk yang melakukan terror pada kota Derry (kota di film ini) setiap 27 tahun sekali. 27 tahun juga merupakan jarak antara film pertama dengan film keduanya dirilis. Film it merupakan salah satu film horror yang populer, hal ini bisa dilihat dari booming nya film ini saat launching pertama nya. Pada pekan pertama penayangannya film it mampu mendapatkan pendapatan domestik sebesar Rp 1,5 triliun. Film adaptasi Novel Stephen King yang paling banyak ditonton sepanjang sejarah ini juga memiliki nilai yang baik di kalangan kritikus film, hal ini bisa dilihat dari ratting yang didapat di situs Rotten Tomatoes, film ini memiliki rating 85% alias sangat layak untuk ditonton. Banyak 25 juga penghargaan dan nominasi yang didapat oleh it (2017). Berikut beberapa penghargaan yang didapat oleh film it (2017) pada tahun 2017-2018. Ia menyatakan bahwa ada beberapa perbedaan dari film ini dengan novel King, serta mini seri televisinya yang tayang pada 1990-an. "Penonton yang sinis akan berpendapat bahwa perbedaan ini ditujukan untuk keuntungan semata, Namun hasil akhirnya tetap luar biasa”. Menurutnya tak seperti beberapa film mainstream 1,5 tahun terakhir, it patut ditunggu dan sebanding dengan hype yang muncul. Ia juga memuji sutradara, yang mampu memadukan elemen film ABG (anak baru gede) dengan horor. Richard Roeper dari Chicago Sun Times juga memberikan nilai 100. Menurutnya "Film ini berani, intensif, dijahit dengan rapi, lucu tapi jahat, dan sangat menyeramkan, menjadikannya salah satu film horor paling mengesankan. Roeper juga memuji sisi non-horor yang ada di film it. Terutama dari karakter anak-anak yang menjadi tokoh protagonis. Mereka merupakan anak- anak biasa dengan permasalahan masing-masing, sehingga penonton bisa merasakan empati kepada mereka dan mengerti mengapa tiap anak dekat satu sama lain. 8 adalah sebuah situs web yang memberi pendapat tentang album, video game, film, acara televisi dan DVD. Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) Merupakan tokoh antagonis di film ini. Pennywise merupakan seorang badut yang memiliki kemampuan untuk merubah wujudnya menjadi sosok yang menakutkan bagi korban yang ia Gambar 3 Tokoh Pennywise serang. Korban yang kebanyakan anak-anak ini diculik dan dibunuh. Dalam film it, ia memakai istilah “melayang” untuk merayu anak-anak agar mengikutinya. Ia muncul setiap 27 tahun sekali di kota Derry. 2. Bill (Jaeden Martell) Seorang bocah kurus dan gagap, ia mengalami kesulitan untuk bicara (gagap). Adiknya George merupakan korban dari Pennywise. George hilang dan diculik Pennywise, oleh karena itu di sepanjang film ia berjuang untuk Gambar 4 Tokoh Bill Denbrough menemukan kembali adiknya. Bahkan terkadang ia adalah sosok yang keras kepala dan seolah-olah lebih mementingkan untuk menyelamatkan adiknya daripada teman-temannya. Ia merupakan a pemimpin dari Loser Club (kelompok pecundang). 29 3. Beverly (Sophia Lillis) Seorang perempuan tomboy yang sangat berani, ia bahkan berani untuk menentang Pennywise. Namun dalam film terdapat banyak gosip miring tentang ia, ia sering dianggap Gambar 5 Tokoh Beverly Marsh sebagai PSK dan perempuan murahan oleh Greta, yang merupakan perempuan populer di sekolahnya. Beverly bahkan selalu menyendiri sampai ia bertemu dengan Bill, dkk. Ia adalah sosok perempuan satu- satunya dalam Loser Club. Ia takut pada darah saat menstruasi. 4. Ben (Jeremy Ray Taylor) Ben adalah seorang yang anak yang memiliki ciri fisik berbadan gendut. Karena itu sepanjang film anak-anak di film selalu memanggil Ben dengan sebutan “gendut”. Ia adalah seorang anak yang suka membaca buku, dan Gambar 6 Tokoh Ben Hanscom ialah anak yang suka menyelediki misteri di suatu kota. Ben adalah anak yang pertama mengetahui fakta bahwa selalu terjadi hal yang tidak baik di kota Derry setiap 27 tahun sekali. 30 Gambar 7 Tokoh Richie Tozier 5. Richie (Finn Wolfhard) Richie adalah Seorang anak kecil yang kecanduan main game dan menonton, memakai kaca mata aneh yang besar, ia terlihat culun. Dalam film ini teman-temannya selalu menganggap ia “tukang ngoceh” karena memang Richie anak yang paling cerewet. Saat menjalankan misi mencari Pennywise dan juga George, Richie sangat takut pada sosok badut. Gambar 8 Tokoh Eddie Kaspbrak 6. Eddie (Jack Dylan Grazer) Eddie adalah Seorang anak laki- laki yang tergolong pendek untuk anak se usianya. Eddie Selalu membawa inhaler untuk mengatasi penyakitnya. Dalam film ini Eddie menjadi anak yang paling higienis diantara teman- temannya. Bahkan ia memiliki fobia pada hal-hal yang jorok dan menjijikan. 31 7. Stanley (Wyatt Oleff) Stanley adalah anak seorang Rabbi dalam film ini, oleh karenanya ia memiliki sifat yang kaku dan patuh pada sifat keras ayahnya yang mewajibkan ia untuk menjadi anak yang taat Gambar 9 Tokoh Stanley Uris pada ajaran agama. Stanley memiliki ketakutan akan sosok wanita seram dalam sebuah lukisan. 8. Mike (Chosen Jacobs) Mike adalah satu-satunya anak berkulit hitam dalam Loser Club. Ia dan keluarganya merupakan pendatang di kota Derry. Oleh karenanya ia juga sering mendapat masalah karena ras Gambar 10 Tokoh Mike Hanlon nya. Sepanjang film ini Mike memiliki ketakutan akan masa lalunya ketika ayah dan ibunya terkena insiden kebakaran rumah sehingga menyebabkan kedua orang tuanya meninggal. 32 9. Henry (Nicholas Hamilton) Bowers juga merupakan tokoh antagonis dalam film ini. Henry dan Genk nya sering melakukan bullying pada anggota Loser Club. Dalam film ini ia berpakaian dan bertindak seperti Gambar 11 Tokoh Henry Bowers preman. Namun ia sendiri sangat takut pada ayahnya 4.4 Sinopsis Film it (2017) Berawal dari kejadian-kejadian misterius yang menimpa anak-anak di kota Derry, dimana anak-anak tersebut tiba-tiba hilang. Bill dan teman-temannya yang tergabung dalam Genk Loser Club berusaha mencari tahu penyebab anak-anak itu menghilang. Bill juga memiliki kepentingan tersendiri, karena adiknya George adalah salah satu dari anak-anak yang menghilang. Setelah mereka melakukan penyelidikan ternyata diketahui bahwa penyebab dari anak-anak itu menghilang karena adanya terror dari sesosok makhluk bernama Pennywise yang menculik dan membunuh anak-anak yang dipilihnya. Pennywise berwujud seperti seorang badut, dan ia muncul untuk menghantui kota Derry setiap 27 tahun sekali. Pennywise juga memiliki kemampuan untuk merubah wujudnya menjadi sosok yang ditakuti oleh anak-anak di kota Derry. Dalam melakukan pencarian dan memecahkan misteri di kota Derry, anak-anak yang tergabung dalam Loser Club juga menemui beberapa hambatan, diantaranya mereka mendapat gangguan dari Bowers, dkk yang memang memiliki tujuan untuk menakuti bahkan menyakiti anak-anak di kota Derry. Selain itu anggota Loser Club juga memiliki masalah pada ego masing- masing. Film it (2017) tidak hanya memusatkan pada adegan-adegan mengerikan yang muncul di beberapa scene nya, melainkan film ini juga memiliki pesan tentang persahabatan, dan juga film ini mengangkat masalah-masalah sosial yang sering terjadi di sekitar kita, mulai dari konflik yang terjadi di dalam keluarga, masalah seksual, potret tentang masa remaja, isu rasial, dsb. 33 .

The Festival hosts screenings in Park ​ ​ City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 23–February 2, 2020. The Sundance Film Festival is Sundance Institute’s flagship public program, widely regarded as the largest American independent film festival and attended by more than 120,000 people and 1,300 accredited press, and powered by more than 2,000 volunteers last year. Sundance Institute also presents public programs throughout the year and around the world, including Festivals in Hong Kong and London, an international short film tour, an indigenous shorts program, a free summer screening series in Utah, and more. Alongside these public programs, the majority of the nonprofit Institute's resources ​ support independent artists around the world as they make and develop new work, via Labs, direct grants, fellowships, residencies and other strategic and tactical interventions.

As we all know, this semester will be unlike any that any of us have ever experienced. The success of the course will be equally dependent on all of us being committed, flexible, patient, persistent, and understanding. This course will be offered synchronously, meaning at the scheduled time listed in the Schedule of Courses, but fully remotely. Lectures will be Tuesdays, 5th and 6th period (11:45-1:40). Typically, instead of taking a break during lecture we will end by 1:15. Thursday discussion sessions will take place at either 11:45 or 12:50, depending on the section in which you are registered. These, too, will take place remotely. On occasion, I may post short videos that cover basic chronologies or other information for you to watch prior to class so that we can spend more of our time together engaging with each other.
