Education.Pdf Vision 2022 About Tapi In year 2007, Tapi District was formed out of some Talukas separated from erstwhile Surat District. Vyara is head quarter of Tapi District, which comprises Seven Talukas – Vyara, Songadh, Valod, Uchhal, Dolvan, Kukarmunda and Nizar. Recently in 2007 on 27th September, as a result of bifurcation of Surat district, two new districts came into existence: Surat and Tapi. Vyara became the headquarter of Tapi district and Surat became the headquarter of Surat district. Location of Tapi is in Southern Gujarat, sharing its borders with Nandurbar district of Maharashtra. Vyara, Songadh, Valod, Uchhal, Nizar are listed as the Seven Talukas of Tapi. The Princely state of Baroda called Gaekwads ruled the Vyara town (headquarter of Tapi district, presently). It is majorly inhabited by Chaudhari, Patel, Gamit Shah, Desai, Pancholi, Panchal, Rana, Brahmin. The ex-chief minister of Gujarat state Amarsingh Chaudhery (died in 2003) was born in Vyara. Tapi ditrict has dense forest with significant production of Bamboos. Places of Interest include Fort Songadh, Hindustan Bridge, Desvada Dam, Tapi River, Ukai Dam, Gaumukh. Suresh Joshi (writer) is among the notable personalities who belong to Tapi district. Contributing to New India – Manthan Vision – 2022, following key points which covering Education & Skills domain will be our Sankalp: Education & Skills 1. Increase Quality Education in Primary School 1.1. In 2017 Schools under Grade B, Grade C and Grade D, 190, 24 and 5 respectively. Our target in 2022 Grade B, Grade C and Grade D schools achieve Grade A+ and Grade A in our District. 2. Improvement in male and female literacy rate 2.1. As per Census 2011 male literacy rate is 75.44% and female literacy rate is 63.16%. 2.2. Our goal in 2022 is to increase male literacy rate upto 85.44% and female literacy rate upto 75.16% 3. Improvement in SSC and HSC result 3.1. In 2017 SSC and HSC results are near about 60.00% that will be achieved upto 100% in 2022. 4. Improvement in skill development 4.1. In our district establishment of short term courses that will be helpful for employment generation in rural and urban area. 5. Drop Out Ratio 5.1. Presently drop out ratio is 4.84%. it will be decrease up to 0% 6. “Beti Padhao” For giving importance of girls education. The concept of “Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalay(K.G.B.V.) will be opened in left of taluka Vyara, Valod and Nizar. 7. Special resource centre for Special children(Differently abled & M.R.) Under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan we will have to start Special resource centre for Special children (Differently abled & M.R.) in all talukas of tapi district. In which special children get the benefit of educational activities along with treatment/Physiotherapy to treat them. Centers will be equipped with Equipment to correct their deformities. This helps them to become self- Independent to do their daily routines. 8. New Schools Our target is to build new Secondary and High secondary in developing taluka Nizar, Uchchhal, Kukarmunda and Songadh. 9. Skill Development 9.1 Our target will provide 100% Vocational training for youth by different department like Rural Dept., Tribal department, Police Dept. I.T.I, Planning Dept. Employment Dept. 9.2 Organized competitive exam classes for the tribal student with help of Tribal Sub plan office, Songadh. Our target is to start library centres and competitive exam classes in each talukas of tapi district and we will cover all unemployed youth. 9.3 Our target is to start “Talim Bhavan” (District institute of education and training) for all teachers in Tapi district.
