ADAMS STATE UNIVERSITY (4-2, 2-2 RMAC) Team Notes: Adams State earned a 49-43 win against Black Hills State on Saturday. The Grizzlies will travel to New Mexico Highlands for a night game next Saturday.

COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY (4-2, 3-1 RMAC) Team Notes: The Mavericks notched their fourth win of the season after earning a 22-17 triumph over Western New Mexico. CMU will play at Fort Lewis College in the Skyhawks Homecoming Game on Oct. 19.

COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES (4-2, 3-1 RMAC) Chad McGraw (Senior, Linebacker, 6-0, 200, Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) McGraw led Mines on Saturday in the squad’s 51-16 win over Fort Lewis with 12 tackles and 2.0 sacks for a loss of 18 yards. Nine of his 12 tackles were solo stops and he added 4.0 tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry on the afternoon as well. McGraw spearheaded an Oredigger defensive unit that posted 7.0 sacks, 14.0 tackles for loss and limited the Skyhawks to just 3.2 yards per play and 0.9 yards per rush. One of 170 all-division national semifi nalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy (academic Heisman), McGraw is currently sixth in the RMAC with 4.0 sacks and is fi fth in the league with 9.0 tackles for loss on the season. Team Notes: Colorado Mines got back into the win column on Saturday with a 51-16 win over Fort Lewis at Campbell Field in Golden. Led by a swarming defense that limited the Skyhawks to just 239 yards and an average of 3.2 yards per play, the Orediggers (4-2, 3-1 RMAC) got back in the win column with sophomore Joe Schneider making his fi rst career collegiate start. The Orediggers, ranked in the top 10 nationally in both total offense and scoring, registered 600 yards on 98 plays for an average of 6.1 yards per play. Schneider fi nished 19-of-44 through the air for 290 yards and two scores and added 11 carries for 61 yards and two more scores for four total touchdowns in the contest. Senior Dan Palmer carried 18 times for a hard-nosed 73 yards and a score, while Tevin Champagne added 56 yards on 13 totes. Junior quarterback Matt Brown added a 63-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter and 59 yards on 4-of-8 passing as well. In total, Mines fi nished with 260 rushing yards and four scores on 45 carries – good for 5.6 yards per rush. Cole Spurgeon led the receiving corps with 81 yards on fi ve receptions while Ellis added 49 yards on four receptions. Diamond Gillis added another receiving score – his seventh though six games – on 75 yards and three receptions and Alex Waner posted 50 yards and a score on two receptions. Ellis added 72 re- turn yards as well for 121 all-purpose yards in the game. Avery Llewellyn was good on his three fi eld goal attempts – all in the second half – including a long of 34 yards. He added fi eld goals of 29 and 32 yards as well and averaged 48.2 yards per punt on four kicks, including a long of 55 yards. Defensively, the Orediggers limited FLC to 34 yards on 39 carries (0.9 YPC). The squad posted 14.0 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and seven sacks on the afternoon. Kole Kadavy and Chad McGraw led the team with 12 tackles apiece, with McGraw posting 1.5 sacks, a quarterback hurry and 3.0 tackles for loss on the after- noon. Kadavy added a sack and 2.0 tackles for loss as well. Tyler Denson recorded 2.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, a sack and 11 stops whileBilly Sprague, a fellow inside backer, added seven stops, two pass breakups and two quarterback hurries. Alex Laudenslager led the defensive line with fi ve stops, a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss andJake Utley added fi ve stops as well. Ryan Wood and Rylan Hess led the secondary with fi ve stops apiece. The Orediggers will return to action on Saturday when the squad travels to Pueblo for a matchup with No. 5 CSU-Pueblo at 6 p.m. CSUP (6-0, 4-0 RMAC) defeated No. 19 Chadron State on Saturday 51-42 in Chadron, Neb.

COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY - PUEBLO (6-0, 4-0 RMAC) Chris Bonner (Junior, Quarterback, 6-7, 215, San Diego, Calif./Grossmont JC) CSU-Pueblo quarterback Chris Bonner had his top collegiate game Saturday against the ThunderWolves’ fi rst ranked op- ponent of the season, equaling a school record with fi ve touchdown passes in the ThunderWolves’ 51-42 win over the Eagles in Chadron, Neb. He completed 68 percent of his passes, including two touchdown passes of 50 yards or more, as he set a career record with 333 yards passing. CSU-Pueblo is now off to a 6-0 start and has won 31 straight regular season games and 26 straight RMAC games.

FORT LEWIS COLLEGE (2-4, 1-3 RMAC) Drew Berryhill (Junior, Tight End, 6-5, 265, Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic) Berryhill caught three passes for 115 yards and two scores in a 51-16 setback at Colorado Mines last Saturday. The Skyhawks will play host to Colorado Mesa University Saturday afternoon in the Skyhawks Homecoming Game.

UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY (1-6, 0-5 MWC) Team Notes: Air Force fell 27-20 against San Diego State last Saturday at home. After this bye week, they will face Notre Dame on Oct. 26 at Falcon Stadium.

UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO (2-3, 0-3 PAC-12) Team Notes: Colorado lost 54-13 at Arizona State this past Saturday. The Buffs will play a non-conference game at home against Charleston at 12 p.m.

UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN COLORADO (1-6, 0-3 BSC) Jace Davis (Senior, Wide Receiver, 6-2, 209, Lone Tree, Colo./Denver East) Davis recorded a season-high in receiving yards with six catches for 188 yards. His previous high this season was 156 yards against CSU-Pueblo. It is also the fourth-highest receiving total in Division I history and Davis now has three of the top fi ve games in the school’s Division I history. Davis’ 188 yards bring his career total to 2,409 yards, breaking the career Division I mark of 2,393 by Patrick Walker (2008-11). With a 35-yard reception, Davis extended his streak of catches to 31 consecutive games.
