Our internet radio station called RadioFreeAmsterdam.org airs two hours of original programming every day and offers a continuous flow of music on the 24/7 stream on our website, where you can hear hour after hour of our programming on end, just like a real radio station.

This month Steve The Fly passes No. 400 in his Fly By Night series and the John Sinclair Radio Show is edging up to episode no. 900 since its inception on November 22, 2004. Episode 898 is another.hour of reefer tunes donated to RFA by our listener Paul Paul last year.

All of our programmers and production staff contribute their work to this important project of the John Sinclair Foundation, offered free to the public throughout the universe for the past fifteen years, since the formation of Radio Free Amsterdam on January 1, 2005.

While on his wayward adventures in America, Steve Fly Agaric 23 hooked up with drummer Alan Hertz and his band, together with Eric Levy who was also playing with Garaj Mahal, bassist and good friend Liam Hanrahan and Jason Conception sitting in for Tal Morris on guitar. In 2003 the band recorded a spectacular album in Berkeley; the selections made here are from the California leg of a short tour the same year, after which they travelled to Los Angeles and then back to San Francisco Bay Area where the band resides: Alan Hertz, drums; Eric Levy, keys; DJ Fly Agaric 23, sounds, turntables; Liam Hanarhan, bass; and Jason Conception, guitar, recorded live at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, CA on September 18, 2003.

Shortly after returning to California from a year living in New Orleans, Steve Fly joined Garaj Mahal for a show at the Avalon Ballroom, San Francisco. The show also featured special guests Leo Nocentelli on guitar and Rasaki on talking drum on “Poodle Factory” plus other tracks coming up in a future Fly-By-Nght show. Garaj were in top form for this Halloween show, ripping through the tunes at a ferocious pace and exploring the shared musical space throughout the elongated jams by Kai Eckhardt, bass; Fareed Haque, guitar; Alan Hertz, drums; Eric Levy, keys; and Steve Fly Agaric 23 on the turntables.

Fly had a blast playing with Liam and Alan who let the emerging vibes take them on a unique journey every performance, and having the foresight to invite DJ Fly into the mix.
