Microsoft App/Program store is a digital shopping retailer for computer software. App/Programs designed for use on a personal computer, might also have an associated App/Program designed for use on a mobile device, such as “OneNote” which can synchronize data on your computer, or other platforms (Apple or Android). Apps/Programs are designed to be presented on a tablet, phone or computer taking into consideration the gadgets size requirements. Microsoft’s App Store arrange the Apps/Programs in groups based on the purpose provided by the App (i.e. games, music movies/video) and the gadget for which the App was intended. Microsoft’s online store enable users to browse through the App/Program categories, view reviews or ratings, and download the App/Program. Select an App/Program and an automatic download commences, which installs in the apps list found in the Start menu. See Chapter 5 “How To Pin Apps-Programs To Taskbar in the Windows 10 Manual”. With Windows 10, Microsoft found a way for users to acquire all of their digital goods. From movies to watch on your desktop, to apps for your phone, the Windows Store is where Microsoft wants you to shop. Unfortunately, that all-in-one experience results in a cluttered store, making Apps/Programs harder to find.

An advantage of having a store in your operating system is that it makes it easy to download apps without worrying if they’re safe. But be cautious of garbage applications and copycats.
