Hundreds of Local Youth Join Foundation for Private Screening of Furious 7 Special Screening Benefits Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation

Los Angeles, CA (April 8, 2015) – Several hundred local youth and young adults enjoyed an exclusive private screening of ’ new blockbuster film, Furious 7, at the Regency Westwood Village Theatre on April 1, 2015. This special viewing of the film was generously provided to the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation (Count On Me) by Furious 7 producer Neal H. Moritz and Universal Pictures.

The event also benefited Count On Me through the generosity of Debbie Jaeger of Seattle, Rick Blosser at UBS Financial in Century City, Boston Private Bank & Trust and Stan Schneider at Gursey Schneider.

“Our generous benefactors, especially Neal Moritz and Universal Pictures, are the reason we were able to provide this experience to hundreds of local youth that generally don’t have an opportunity to be the special guests at a private screening of a tremendously popular movie,” said Shannon Mora, Vice President and Co-Founder of Count On Me.

Count On Me guests included youth from Boys & Girls Club of the LA County Alliance, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Mattel Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, Young Warriors, The Fulfillment Fund, and Youth Policy Institute. Employees from Private Bank & Trust and Pizza Kitchen – both entities regular Sponsors and Donors of Count On Me – also attended the event in Westwood.

Jim Mora, President, Co-Founder of Count On Me and UCLA Head Football Coach, noted: “Bringing many of these young people to the center of Westwood, to an iconic theater, and providing them popcorn and a beverage – it’s an escape from their day-to-day lives. It gives them an occasion to experience the feeling of being a ‘special guest’ instead of being a spectator to this world.”
