Hahn/J. Leagan – Approved. TREASURER’S REPORT: Peggy said we need to get the QuickBooks upgrade, as the version we have is no longer being supported. Last one we did was in 2010. MOTION to allocate $200 for the QuickBooks upgrade. Du. Harrington/R. Hahn – Approved. A couple outstanding things from the Quad, but at this point are non-issues. The invoices will be dealt with when they do surface. Duane mentioned that we need to renew our charter with State of Ohio. MOTION to renew the Neohio charter. Du. Harrington/ R. Hahn - Approved. REPORTS & COMMITTEE REVIEWS: REGIONAL EXECUTIVE: Nothing to report as Pete is excused. COMPETITION COMMITTEE: Nothing to report as Pete is excused. MEMBERSHIP: Currently at 519 members. 28 new and 12 expired. 26 are from the Street Survival event and are First Gear memberships. Jeff B. and Bob will review membership and get Jeff up to speed. RALLY: No report. SOLO: No report. RALLYCROSS : No report. STREET SURVIVAL SERIES: Bill Crowe gave a complete recap of the event and some feedback that was received from the activities. It was overall a very successful and well run and attended event for our first effort. 2014 SCCA will still provide donations to help fund the events. Memberships will be a family membership instead of a First Gear membership. Will hopefully get the entire family involved and supportive and cross over to other venues within the club. 2014 will have different handouts and presentation materials for the classroom portion. 2014 is planned to have over 100 events. More are becoming in conjunction with PCA and Corvette clubs as well. In car instructors will need to be certified. Short video and tutorial to be quizzed. Basic stuff. Bill would like to get a letter of recommendation from the Superintendent of Revere Schools so that we can use to promote to other districts. Bob D. had not heard anything back yet. Would try to get feedback and letter in process. Looking at possibility of Avon Lake and Copley as some other opportunities for next year. Had been told of some not so pleasant comments being shared among a local region. We all need to work together to make this work for the area. We should be backing other regions and vice versa to help grow this event and others like it. Keep professional. HALL OF FAME: All inaugural inductees have been contacted regarding their status and have been invited to the banquet. Initial class of inductees to the Neohio Hall of Fame is as follows: Reed Andrews, Frederick Baker, Al Beasley, Sr., Cleo “Ma” Beasley, Bill Benham, Chuck Dietrich, and Con Peplowski. Dear SCCA Media Partners, Welcome to what is truly a new era of the Sports Car Club of America, as the SCCA National Champi- onship Runoffs heads west for the first time in 46 years to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. This event, made possible with the help of our friends and partners at Mazda and the Sports Car Rac- ing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP), was met with questions at its announcement that have been answered in a big way, with more than 530 drivers on the entry list and a rejunvenaton of the west coast program all season long. While we haven’t been west of the Rockies since River- side International Raceway in 1968, it’s hard to believe it will be that long before we return again. The question on everyone’s mind, even more than usual, is who is going to win? Are there hidden gems on the west coast who may be making their first Runoffs appearance that will make a name for themselves on the national stage, or will the traditional contenders learn a new track quickly enough to hold their titles? My guess is that we’ll see some of each.
