Particularly pertinent to events of today, Dr. Tabbaa’s collection documents many of the monuments damaged or destroyed in recent conflicts, including those in Iraq and Syria. His images and notes will be used in the continuing effort of AKDC to substantiate and record the loss of cultural heritage throughout the region. CONDITION SUMMARY Slides - Most appear to be in good condition. Many have paper mounts, some plastic. Several of the commercial slides are falling apart, the film loose. The majority are not labelled and have not been moved around/sorted incase unlabeled slides can help be identified by their proximity to labeled slides which are currently out of order. This is at least until adequate time can be devoted to rearranging them with care. Other materials - Photographs, negatives, files and books are all in good shape, generally. All material except for the slides ought to be rehoused.
