Godelieve M. Havens died Wednesday January 6, 2009 (note- this a misprint was actually 2010) at Riverview Gardens, Chatham at the age of 94. Born in Wulpen, W. Flanders, Belgium, daughter of the late Arthur & Flora (Vandenberge) Beun. Dear mother of Mary Anne Stennett, Acton; Ron & Jane Havens, Chatham; Kenneth & Julie Havens, Collingwood; Wayne & Helen Havens, Chatham. Grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Also survived by sister-in-law Simone Beun, North Bay; several nieces and nephews and former husband Peter Havens, Chatham. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday January 8, 2009 (again should be 2010) from 2:00-4:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim at a later date. Donations in memory of Mrs. Havens to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of Choice appreciated. Lesy: Cyriel, a resident of Chatham passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Detroit Receiving Hospital, on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, son of the late Remi and Juliana (Delanghe) Lesy. Cyriel had worked at Siemens VDO, Chatham for 40 years, retiring in 2006. Beloved husband of Brenda (Bushey) Lesy. Loving father of Mark and Lori Lesy of R.R.# 2 Dresden, Nichole and Brian Kirkland of R.R.# 1 Southampton. Loving Papa of Amanda, Justin, Tori, Brandon, Brittany and Jordan. Dear brother of Maurice and Linda Lesy of R.R.# 1 Thamesville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Lesy family will receive friends at theBadder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be held on Monday evening at 8:45pm. She was the daughter of Theophil and Alice (Reynnaert) VanGheluwe. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Elaine & Dick Putnam and Sharon & Wally Mytka. Dear grandmother of Michelle, David, Jenny, Julie, Kathy and Evelyn. Dear great grandmother of Nicole, Alicia, Brent, Emma, Gavin and Duncan. Kind sister and of Florence Dewachter and Lorraine Lockey. Predeceased by her first husband, Ernest DeBaene (1972) and her second husband Roscoe Galarneau (2003), a son Robert (1946), two brothers in infancy, and her sisters Zelma DeClerck, Mary Pepper and Lucy. Lena was a lifetime member of the Catholic Womens League. Mrs. Lena Galarneau is resting at the ERIC F. NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME, 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg, Ontario. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010, from Holy Family Church, in Wallaceburg at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham. A retired Insurance/Real Estate Broker, Camiel was a member and shareholder of the Belgium Hall, Delhi, active with the Delhi Boy Scouts, a member of the Legion of Frontiersman and the Delhi Senior Citizen's Friendship Club. Beloved husband of Dorothy Caudron (nee Campbell). Dear father of Laura Brooks, Delhi and Richard Caudron Delhi. He is survived by his sister-in-law Ann Caudron, Delhi as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Jennie Lammens (1951), son-in-law Reginald Brooks (1992), brother Joseph Caudron (2003), sisters Zulma Martin (1989) and Simonne (2004) and her husband Fred Soenen (2003). THE SIMCOE REFORMER, Simcoe, Ontario - posted online 12 January 2010 Elizabeth (Betty) Sylvia DeSCHAMPHELEER (nee VanWYMEERSCH) Passed away, peacefully, on Sunday, January 10, 2010, Elizabeth (Betty) Sylvia DeSchampheleer of Tillsonburg and formerly of Langton, at the age of 90 years. Born June 16, 1919 in Haine St. Pierre, Belgium. Daughter of the late Joseph VanWymeersch and Amandine DeTurck both of Belgium. She married Arthur DeSchampheleer, July 9, 1938, in Morenwelz, Belgium and emigrated from Belgium to Canada in 1939. Reunited in Heaven with her husband Arthur (who predeceased her October 13th, 1997). Survived by her two daughters, Diane DeCoutere (Maurice) of R.R.#5, Langton and Irene Vanderhaeghe of Tillsonburg (and late Maurice, predeceased 2006). Also surviving are three grandchildren, Mark (Betty) Vanderhaeghe, Wayne Vanderhaeghe and Joelle DeCoutere and three great-grandchildren, Mark Lee, Krystal and Teven Vanderhaeghe. Predeceased by her beloved son David DeSchampheleer (2008). Loving brother of Dan Moyaert of London and Douglas Moyaert of Delhi. Cherished uncle of Rebecca and Nathan Moyaert. Darren will be dearly missed by all his several aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
