Detailed information of trains notified, number of SLRD units and its date of availability along with Terms and Conditions pertaining to the contract are available on the Website www.swr.indianrailways.gov.in which may kindly be referred for more details. 2. Only Registered leaseholder can participate in the tender. However, Individuals, Logistic firms, clearing and forwarding agents and Courier companies’ can also participate in this tender provided they get themselves registered with Railways. Fresh Registrations for the current tender will close on 06/09/16. Accidents in transportation industry happen every day and given bad impact to the industry. Public transports become an alternative to the urban people, as the traffic congestion getting worse today which will results on increasing number of locomotives, as to fulfil the service demands, at the same time will increase number of train drivers, shifts, rail traffic congestion and other challenges. Another important issue will rise from this situation; safety. Safety is important as technology advancement increasing daily. It is important for us to understand and investigate the performance of the train driver in order to ensure safety. Human performance and reliability become very important today when error and accident ABSTRACT causation sometimes were blamed to the human. Human element continues to be the major contributing factor for train accidents. The overall message from this paper is that railway accident investigations provide a useful source of data on human factors issues and their impact on railway safety, from this we have to learn the lessons and take appropriate measures and avoid the accidents. Consequential accidents on Indian Railways during 2005-06 to 2009-10, indicate a total of 965 cases. Out of which 832 accidents recorded on human failure i.e. 86.21 percent. This need to be curbed. Human element continues to be the major contributing factor for train accidents. Safety is important as technology advancement increasing daily.     Booking Train Ticket through internet Website: irctc.co.in Booking Guidelines: 1. The input for the proof of identity is not required now at the time of booking. 2. One of the passengers in an e-ticket should carry proof of identification during the train journey. 3. Voter ID card/ Passport/PAN Card/Driving License/Photo Identity Card Issued by Central/State Government are the valid proof of identity cards to be shown in original during train journey. 4. The input for the proof of identity in case of cancellation/partial cancellation is also not required now. 5. The passenger should also carry the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS) during the train journey failing which a penalty of Rs. 50/- will be charged by the TTE/Conductor Guard. 6. Time table of several trains are being updated from July 2008, Please check exact train starting time from boarding station before embarking on your journey. 7. For normal I-Ticket, booking is permitted at least two clear calendar days in advance of date of journey. 8. For e-Ticket, booking can be done upto chart Preparation approximately 4 to 6 hours before departure of train. For morning trains with departure time upto 12.00 hrs charts are prepared on the previous night. 9. Opening day booking (90th day in advance, excluding the date of journey) will be available only after 8 AM, along with the counters.
