Most every type of food is available prepared with great expertise and authenticity, and the city is proud of the variety offered as well as the quality and the vari- ous settings and decors. The Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to check our dining and enter- tainment section (Pages 9-16B) each month and search for a new experience from the various advertisers and members. In June we should all celebrate Father’s Day, and what better way than to find a great feast for Dad and the family. Make plans to dine out on one week- end when time permits and Dad is not working. Downtown Alhambra’s annual Cinco de Mayo Salsa Contest produced three winning salsas. The program is created by PopRock’s founder and professional actor Paul Kwo, one of the breakout stars of the God’s Not Dead franchise. He has been educating the next genera- tion for more than 20 years. PopRock summer camp has been featured on Good Day LA Fox 11 News. The summer camp has drawn students from the greater surrounding area to attend. Students have learned valuable perform- ing skills and have gained confidence in their abilities, which has helped them become more successful in other areas of life. PopRock nurtures the students’ own creativity, which can be applied to their regular school projects and presentations. PopRock Academy is adjacent to Alhambra High School, next to Bon Appetea.
