This privacy statement is applicable to all Sony Pictures Entertainment (“SPE”) television game shows, including but not limited to Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and Sports Jeopardy!.

SPE respects the privacy concerns of all prospective contestants. Responsible use of the information you share with SPE is paramount. In order to help you understand how the information you provide will be used, the following guidelines have been created.

Personally Identifiable Information In order for the producers to decide whether or not to choose you as a contestant, you will be required to fill out an application which asks you to provide certain personal information such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and occupation. Providing such personal information is mandatory in order to process your application to be a contestant. Providing your age, however, is optional (unless you are under the age of 18). If you do not provide personally identifiable information, you will not be considered to be a contestant If you do provide SPE with personally identifiable information, we will take all responsible steps to protect this information. SPE will not disclose, share, sell, or rent personally identifiable information to any third party without your consent. Please note that your personally identifiable information may be available to members of the production staff for the game show and other personnel associated with the show.

Contestants under the Age of 18 SPE respects you privacy and recognizes the sensitivity of personal information pertaining to children under the age of 18. SPE requires each prospective contestant under the age of 18 to provide his/her date of birth. Moreover, SPE requires written consent from that child’s parent or guardian upon submission of a contestant release.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information As part of the application process, you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself which does not personally identify you. For example, you may be asked to provide information concerning your hobbies or achievements. SPE requests this information so that the producers have adequate information to make a decision whether or not they will choose you as a contestant. In addition, your non-personal information may be used for marketing and promotional purposes in connection with SPE game shows.

Application Withdrawal If you decide that you do not want to be a contestant, you may withdraw your application by providing written notification of such withdrawal to the producers. Your application, however, will remain with SPE. SPE will take all reasonable requests to keep all contestant applications and the information contained therein secure.
