Capsule Nathan is the Secretary on the Executive Committee of York Cottage Antiques Historic Augusta’s Board of Trustees. He and his firm Low Country Clothier have been involved in many tax credit projects, Sacred Heart Cultural including: Wagon Works at 941 Ellis Street, the Handkerchief Factory at 943 Ellis Street, 620 Broad Center Street, 212 Seventh Street, Kahrs Grocers at 401 Greene Pecan Row Street, 215 Twelfth Street and Kennedy Building at 1022- Weinberger's Furniture 1026 Broad Street which both received a preservation award from the Georgia Trust. Nathan, his wife and three children live in the 1836 Darling-Dennis House located on five acres which once was a dairy farm. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. The Vicks updated the bathrooms and kitchen and completed a full electrical renovation.

Nominations are now open for the 2022 Endangered Properties List. The buildings can be residential or commercial. The staff and Preservation Committee at Historic Augusta target the challenges associated with historic resources that are abandoned, neglected with unsympathetic or non-responsive owners. Listing on unsympathetic or non-responsive owners. Listing on Historic Augusta's EPL can lead to building a positive relationship with the owner, neighborhood association and other stakeholders associated with the particular property.
