    PHILATELIC NEWSLETTER VOLLEYBALL Nr. 29 = 2018 Algeria Algérie Poste issued on July 17, 2018 a set of two stamps commemorating the 3rd African Youth Games in Algiers. One of the stamps has a pictogram beach volleyball. The face value of each stamp is 25 Algerian Dinars (DA) and are printed in sheets of 25 (5x5) stamps. Designer is Tayeb Laidi. Printing factory is Banque d’Algérie The set has a FDC (selling price DA 7,00) with a FD cancel which has the same pictograms as the stamp, so inclusive beach volleyball. SEE cachet FDC. This FD cancel is from Sétif but more cities are known such as Alger, Constantine and Souk Ahras. Stamps and FDC were available in all post offices in the country from Sunday July 22, 2018 on. On the same date two presentation packs were issued with two sheets each. One pack has mascot Borobi on the labels and the other one has sports. The sports on the labels were practiced during the Games incl. – for the very first time - beach volleyball.

He/She shall monitor and supervise the team, attend meetings and eventually relay information to the coaches.

Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one. If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive your transgressions.” Reflection: “This is how you are to pray.” Jesus taught his disciples how to pray, how to speak to a God so great that we as people are seemingly insignificant in his sight. Yet, Jesus, called Jesus, “Abba”, Daddy or perhaps if he was Tagalog, he would have said “Itay”. God is great and we are seemingly insignificant on his sight, yet, God’s live for us is so great that he asks us ton call him “Itay”, for each and everyone of us is not insignificant to God. Each and every one of us is loved by God, a Father who cares for His children. As one Lasallian community of disciples of Jesus, we are children of God; let us treat each with that same love that God has shown us.

Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgement the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here.” Reflections: The people of Jesus time were looking for a sign from God that God still loved them. Jesus did not give any sign except a sign that they should turn away from their sins and remember the Gospel. Just as Jonah preached repentance to the people of Nineveh. In our lives also in this time, many of us also seek signs that God still cares and loves us. Yet, it is the sign of Jesus, God becoming man and offer his very life for us is the sign which we shall receive. It is in giving of yourselves for the love of others and God that this sign shall truly till your life with happiness and joy.
