If you arrive from France , you will drive along Autostrada A10, then A12 till to Cecina. In any case, you will take the SS1 Aurelia at Cecina, then take the Follonica Nord exit and follow the signs for Follonica and Castiglione della Pescaia. Once you have crossed Follonica, drive 4km until you reach Puntone di Scarlino. At the traffic light, turn right and after 500 meters, you will reach the entrance to the Marina. If you are arriving from the South on the SS1 Aurelia, take the Scarlino exit and follow the directions for Castiglione della Pescaia until you reach Puntone di Scarlino.     Program Wander- und E-bike- April/Mai 2019 Ringwanderung Puntone di Scarlino Cala Violina. Treffpunkt mit unserem Guide in Puntone di Scarlino am Parkplatz Cala Felice Beach Club um 9,30 Beginn unserer Wanderung auf einem breiten Wanderweg, inmitten der Macchia mediterranea. Wir besteigen die erste Anhöhe Poggio La Guardia (215 Hm) und gleich danach unsere zweite Anhöhe Poggio Sentinella (216 Hm), mit einer traumhaften Aussicht auf die Küste und die vorgelagerten Inseln. Nun beginnt der Abstieg bis zu einem Beobachtungsturm aus dem Mittelalter Torre Civette (55 Hm) in der Nähe der Mündung des Flusses Alma. Nun schlagen wir einen antiken Weg der cavalleggeri ein, berittene Soldaten, die einst die gesamte Küste des Grossherzogtumes Toskana entlang dieser Wege bewachten. Dieser Weg führt uns zu den wunderschönen Buchten von Cala Civetta, Cala Violina und Cala Martina. Unsere Exkursion endet bei unseren Autos. Auf dieser Wanderung haben Sie die einmalige Gelegenheit einzutauchen in die typische Macchia mediterranea, die uns schattenspendend auf diesem Weg begleitet, aber auch durch die wunderschönen Panoramablicke, die sich uns des öfteren bieten.     Federico Selvi A critical checklist of the vascular flora of Tuscan Maremma (Grosseto province, Italy) Abstract Selvi, F.: A critical checklist of the vascular flora of Tuscan Maremma (Grosseto province, Italy). — Fl. Medit. 20: 47-139. 2010. — ISSN 1120-4052. The Tuscan Maremma is a historical region of central western Italy of remarkable ecological and landscape value, with a surface of about 4.420 km2 largely corresponding to the province of Grosseto. A critical inventory of the native and naturalized vascular plant species growing in this territory is here presented, based on over twenty years of author's collections and study of relevant herbarium materials and literature. The checklist includes 2.056 species and subspecies (excluding orchid hybrids), of which, however, 49 should be excluded, 67 need confirmation and 15 have most probably desappeared during the last century. Considering the 1.925 con- firmed taxa only, this area is home of about 25% of the Italian flora though representing only 1.5% of the national surface. The main phytogeographical features in terms of life-form distri- bution, chorological types, endemic species and taxa of particular conservation relevance are presented. Species not previously recorded from Tuscany are: Anthoxanthum ovatum Lag., Cardamine amporitana Sennen & Pau, Hieracium glaucinum Jord., H. maranzae (Murr & Zahn) Prain (H. neoplatyphyllum Gottschl.), H. murorum subsp. tenuiflorum (A.-T.) Schinz & R. Keller, H. vasconicum Martrin-Donos, Onobrychis arenaria (Kit.) DC., Typha domingensis (Pers.) Steud., Vicia loiseleurii (M. Bieb) Litv. and the exotic Oenothera speciosa Nutt. Tutti gli itinerari vengono effettuati con la dovuta calma (salvo imprevisti) e secondo i ritmi di cammino dei partecipanti ed il loro filo conduttore è la voglia di conoscere ogni dettaglio della natura e della storia del luogo piuttosto che l’aspetto sportivo dell’escursionismo. Il camminare diviene così il mezzo che ci permette di scoprire la dimensione “umana” dei luoghi, di avere continui e preziosi scambi con gli abitanti, di permeare e comprendere il carattere delle comunità umane alla luce della loro storia e delle loro tradizioni popolari.     April/May 2019 Program Trekking and E-Bike/Bike Excursions Trekking: Puntone of Scarlino, Cala Violina. 9: 30 am: Meet with the guide at the loc. Puntone di Scarlino c / o Cala Felice Beach Club parking lot. The trekking excursion begins along a wide trail, immersed in the Mediterranean shrub, and continues with a gentle climb until you reach Poggio La Guardia (215 m above sea level) and Poggio Sentinella (216 mslm), with vast, breathtaking panoramic views of the coast and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. From here the path begins to descend to Torre Civette (55 m asl) near the mouth of the Alma and continues along the ancient Cavalleggeri Road, which ran from North to South along the entire coast of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. This path leads to Cala Civetta, Cala Violina and Cala Martina, the final destination, to then return to the parked cars. The most interesting aspect of this itinerary is constituted by the breathtaking views that you can admire every time the generally shaded woods and characteristic, Mediterranean shrub open to unexpected, magnificent coastal landscapes. Length: approximately 13 km. - disl. 300 mt. - average diff. - packed lunch Excursion cost €.15.00 adults - €.8.00 children 6/12 years - free for children up to 6 years (min. 5 - max 25 pers.)
