Sripathi *** Poongothai,G **** Sridevi V. *, **, ***, **** Department of Chemistry, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore-641043, Tamilnadu, India ABSTRACT A high performance thin layer chromatography method was validated for the quantification of insulinomimetic pinitol in the extracts of anti diabetic plants. The alcoholic extract of selected anti diabetic plants was chromatographed on silica gel 60 F254 plates with CHCl3 :MeOH:H2O, 6:3.5:0.5 as mobile hase.p Detection and quantification was performed by densitometry scanning at λ=500 nm. The method provides a good resolution of pinitol from the ethanolic extract of dried leaves of selected plants. Pinitol was identified in ten indigenous medicinal plants Keywords : HPTLC, anti diabetic, Pinitol Introduction: silver nitrate solution. IRPs outline the recovery actions that are required to urgently address those threatening processes most affecting the ongoing survival of threatened taxa or ecological communities, and begin the recovery process. CALM is committed to ensuring that Threatened taxa are conserved through the preparation and implementation of Recovery Plans (RPs) or IRPs and by ensuring that conservation action commences as soon as possible. This IRP will operate from April 2005 to March 2010 but will remain in force until withdrawn or replaced. It is intended that, if the taxon is still ranked Endangered, this IRP will be reviewed after five years and the need further recovery actions assessed. This IRP was given regional approval on 26 October, 2005 and was approved by the Director of Nature Conservation on 26 October, 2005. The provision of funds and personnel identified in this IRP is dependent on budgetary and other constraints affecting CALM, as well as the need to address other priorities.

Suggested local native plant species for Superb Fairy-wren habitat Extract from the report, Superb Fairy-Wren Habitat in Glebe and Forest Lodge, S. Stevens, The Glebe Society, Sydney, 2008. The plants listed are thought to have been indigenous to inner-western Sydney prior to white settlement. Emphasis in this list is on plants that should be fairly easily obtainable, but a few that may be difficult to obtain at present, such as Epacrids and some Peas, and plants such as Epacrids have traditionally been difficult to propagate, have been included to indicate the variety of plants that are suitable for Superb Fairy-wren habitat, and with a view that these plant species may be available in the future. Indeed, highlighting them as suitable small bird habitat may influence some nurseries to add them to their stocklists. They provided an identification key to species and detailed descriptions. They also performed a phylogenetic analysis of all species, suggesting that O. hirta and O. plicicollis are sister species and most similar morphologically. HOSTS O. hirta is a highly polyphagous longhorn beetle. Its larvae feed on over 200 species of trees and shrubs from 63 (Lu & Wang, 2005; Wang, 2017) to 81 (EPPO, 2014) families. Its original hosts were native New Zealand plants, but it expanded its host range to many species exotic to New Zealand, ranging from major fruit, nut, forest and ornamental trees to shrubs and grapevines. Host list: Acacia dealbata, Acacia decurrens, Acacia floribunda, Acacia longifolia, Acacia melanoxylon, Acacia pycnantha, Acer pseudoplatanus, Acer sp., Aesculus hippocastanum, Agathis australis, Albizia julibrissin, Alectryon excelsus, Alnus glutinosa, Alnus incana, Aristotelia serrata, Asparagus setaceus, Avicennia marina, Avicennia resinifera, Azara sp., Betula nigra, Betula pendula, Betula sp., Brachyglottis greyi, Brachyglottis repanda, Brachyglottis rotundifolia, Buddleia davidii, Camellia sp., Carmichaelia australis, Casimiroa edulis, Cassinia leptophylla, Cassinia retorta, Castanea sativa, Casuarina cunninghamiana, Casuarina sp., Celtis australis, Cestrum elegans, Chamaecyparis sp., Chamaecytisus prolifer subsp.
