I've been taking it to conventions and have many cast autographs on their pages Giles on the foreword page, Andrew, Warren, Xander, Jenny Calendar as Eyghon, Glory, Clem, and more and I adore it. I'll be adding more autographs soon. It's the perfect book for it. Mar 07, Veronika rated it really liked it Shelves: my-book-collection. Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth nice nostalgic trip to the Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Jan 03, Heather rated it liked it. Nostalgic, but nothing new. Oct 05, Liz rated it really liked it. The book started with a foreword by Anthony Stewart Head who played Gileswhich I really enjoyed reading. I actually rewatched the whole series on Netflix maybe a year and a half ago but reading through this book was really nostalgic and made me remember all the reasons why I love Buffy so much. I really liked the format of the book, and the detailed info on each character. The way they interacted with each other through the scribbles made me miss the show and all the relationships between Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth characters so much! Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth 17, Sophie rated it really liked it Shelves: for-reviewnon-fiction. With a foreward by Anthony Stewart Head and annotations by Giles, Buffy, Willow and Xander, this felt like a really nostalgic dip back into a familiar world. All of the annotations felt authentic and genuinely like the characters and the comments referenced Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth in episodes and seasons. The whole thing is an encyclopaedia of vampires, demons and other icky creatures that featured in the series, in either one episode appearances or part of a whole arc. This is a perfect, nostalgia-fuelled fest for Buffy fans. Sep 26, Lauren Hartley rated it really liked it. I really loved this book as a quick trip back to . I loved reading it from Giles' perspective and it was just great to meet Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth characters again. The edition is gorgeous and I really did enjoy it. The only downside is that nothing new was added about anything, but that wasn't really Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth I got it for. Aug 17, Kirsty rated it it was ok Shelves: review-booksbuffy-universetv-film-tie-in. It is a beautiful edition and a nice reminder of the show. However the notes supposedly written by buffy and the gang didn't feel like them at all which spoiled it. Also if you are an avid fan of the show there isn't anything new of different offered that you wouldn't already know. Oct 09, Teena Evans rated it it was amazing. I absolutely loved this book. Even though I knew every fact in it, I still loved it! Jul 27, M rated it really liked it. Nancy Holder captures the essence of the with this definitive guide for the discerning Slayer. I'm such a big Buffy fan, I would normally be hard pressed to give anything Buffy-related less than 5 stars. This book seemed like someone just wanted to make money by putting the Buffy name on a low quality product. There were several factual errors for those familiar Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth the show. It was also poorly edited- some of the underlined text corresponded to the annotations and some did not. Aug 15, Kay rated it really liked it Shelves: This was a quick read. Basically Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth summary of the vampires, demons and other monsters encountered on the TV show written in a journal form from Giles with added comments from Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Faith. Although written by Nancy Holder, Demons of the Hellmouth is an Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth book, ostensibly penned Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth none other than Rupert Giles himself, and the text is spotted with little handwritten notes from Buffy, Willow, Xander, and other characters from the series — think Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Thembut for the Buffy-verse! The publisher has done a nice job of manufacturing a book that fans will be glad to have on their shelves, with faux-marbled end papers and pages printed to look as though they could be old, worn parchment. Mega-fans will want to know that this volume covers the show canon only, and not any of the Season 8 and beyond comics that were published after the show ended. All together, the sections take us through pretty much every baddie featured Buffy: Demons of the Hellmouth the television show, detailing not only who or what each villain is but also how they were dealt with on the show. Every entry is illustrated with pictures from the show and contains notes from other characters about their experiences and memories. Which is really more fun than it sounds I promise. The book opens with an introduction from Anthony Stewart Head, and he pretty much hits the nail on the head:. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I have — it has brought back many happy memories for me. It allows readers, if only for a little while, to re-inhabit the world of Buffy and re-visit those characters and friendships we love so well. An excellent gift for any Buffy fan!
