El historiador José Vera en su tesis “Sal y Sociedad. Las Salinas de Boyeruca 1644 – 2001”a señala que el cronista Gerónimo de Vivar relata que los españoles al llegar al centro de Chile se abastecieron de sal en sitios salineros ya existentes en la costa de Aconcagua, a partir de esto Vera asegura que los sitios salineros explotados artesanalmente por los españoles desde el siglo XVII sin un origen referido por los cronistas pudieran ser también prehispánicos.

PRESENTACIÓN MINISTERIAL DEL ESTUDIO El resultado de este estudio es producto de un proceso de trabajo conjunto entre el Ministerio de Obras Públicas y el Ministerio de Economía Fomento y Turismo, a través de la Dirección de Planeamiento y la Subsecretaría de Turismo, respectivamente, desarrollado mediante una consultoría con Ingenieros y Economistas Consultores S.A. Como antecedente, podemos afirmar que uno de los sectores económicos que actualmente promueve el desarrollo económico local y entrega oportunidades de empleo y mejores ingresos a la población, chilena o inmigrante, que habita el territorio nacional, es el Turismo. Es por ello que en el año 2015 la Dirección de Planeamiento firmó un Convenio de Cooperación con la Subsecretaría de Turismo del Ministerio de Economía Fomento y Turismo con el objetivo que dicha Subsecretaría informara al Ministerio de Obras Públicas los requerimientos del sector en materia de infraestructura. Frente a ello se acordó dimensionar la problemática elaborando el presente estudio para poder elaborar un Plan Especial en cada región de Infraestructura de apoyo al Turismo, con un diseño participativo elaborado desde los territorios y focalizándose en los 83 destinos turísticos priorizados por la Subsecretaría de Turismo, la cual integró y aportó de manera relevante como contraparte técnica del presente estudio. Este proceso fue innovador, dado que posibilitó al Ministerio de Obras Públicas comprender de mejor manera la temática del turismo, a través de identificar con mayor precisión las obras que se requieren en los destinos turísticos consolidados, potenciales y emergentes, a partir de lo señalado por los actores participantes en los talleres realizados en los diferentes territorios y del trabajo colaborativo con la Subsecretaría de Turismo, cuyas propuestas fueron recogidas en el presente estudio.

The Chilean Andes, as a characteristic tectonic and geomorphological region, is a perfect location to unravel the geologic nature of seismic hazards. The Chilean segment of the Nazca-South American subduction zone has experienced mega-earthquakes with Moment Magnitudes (Mw) >8.5 (e.g., Mw 9.5 Valdivia, 1960; Mw 8.8 Maule, 2010) and many large earthquakes with Mw >7.5, both with recurrence times of tens to hundreds of years. By contrast, crustal faults within the overriding South American plate commonly have longer recurrence times (thousands of years) and are known to produce earthquakes with maximum Mw of 7.0 to 7.5.

    26 °LLAMADO DEL PROGRAMA DE PAVIMENTACIÓN PARTICIPATIVA PROYECTOS SELECCIONADOS Más de mil kilómetros pavimentados en 4 años de Gobierno Vecinos de la localidad de Reumén, en la comuna de Paillaco, muestran orgullosos el nuevo aspecto de su calle Mac Iver. Gracias al Programa de Pavimentación Participativa del Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo en la Región de Los Ríos. Más de mil kilómetros en estos últimos 4 años, una distancia equivalente al tramo entre Santiago y Puerto Montt. Asimismo, se han construido 133 kilómetros de veredas, beneficiando directamente a 133 mil hogares y 532 mil personas. Resumen estadístico 26° Llamado con cierre el 16 de diciembre de 2016.
