Unless you return to it from the Chevalier, in which case it tastes a tad clodhopping. Very long though. Drink 2025-2040" Jancis Robinson, 01/01/2017 95pts "Domaine Leflaive isn’t the only producer in Puligny to make a fantastic Bâtard; Olivier Leflaive does so too. This is a classically rich, broad, impactful example of the Grand Cru, with plenty of oak, some skin tannins providing concentration and a rich, creamy mid palate. 2019-25" BATARD-MONTRACHETTim Atkin, 01/01/2017 Grand Cru Domaine 2015 92-95pts "Here the nose is quite firmly reduced and about all that can be said is that it appears to be quite ripe. There is a bit more size, weight and volume to the big-bodied flavors compared to those of the Bienvenues- Bâtard-Montrachet that display fine power and drive on the sappy, hugely long and solidly dry finish. This is really quite impressive though note well that it’s clearly built-to-age and will certainly need at least several years of cellaring first. (92-95)/2025+" Allen Meadows', Burghound.com, 13/06/2017 94pts "Intense toast, spice, nut oil and citronella flavors are displayed on a concentrated frame. The vibrant structure provides focus and drive as this unwinds on the long, spice- and mineral-tinged aftertaste. Best from 2019 through 2026." Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 30/11/2017 94pts "Lemon-gold. Lightly reductive nose. Gently opulent, but animating acidity keeps it elegant, fleet, fluent, and vital, so this seems to have the longevity that will allow complexity to come."
