Congratulations to all nurses recognized by our generous donors between January 1st, 2020 and December 31st, 2020. Names are alphabetical by an honored individual’s last name and an organization’s first. Following the list of honored nurses (pgs. 1-28) is a list of tributes paid in memory of a nurse or someone who experienced nursing excellence and care (pgs. 29-49). Thank you to our donors for recognizing each of these nurses while making a philanthropic donation to support the ongoing work of the American Nurses Foundation. II __. _ Breaking Away: A Study of First- Generation College Students and Their Famiilies HOWARD B. LONDON Bridge-water State College Detailed family histories were taken of students who were the first in their families to go to college. This paper utilizes the psychoanalytic and family systems theory of Helm Stierlin and others to explore (1) how college matriculation for first-generation students is linked to multi- generational family dynamics, and (2) how these students reconcile (or do not reconcile) the often conflicting requirements of family membership and educational mobility. The same modernity that creates the possibility of opportunity for these students is seen also to create the potential for biographical and social dislocation. Introduction Several years ago the film Breaking Away was a box office success across America. On the surface it was the story of "town-gown" frictions between the "cuttters" of Bloomington, Indiana-so called because they were the children of the men who mined the local limestone qtuarries-atid the ostensibly more sophisticated but condescending students of Indiana University.

    NASSAU COUNTY WEBSITE NCT PUBLIC NOTICE OF COUNTY TREASURER'S SALE OF TAX LIENS ON REAL ESTATE Notice is hereby given that I shall, commencing on February 18, 2020, sell at public on-line auction the tax liens on real estate herein-after described, unless the owner, mortgagee, occupant of or any other party-in- interest in such real estate shall pay to the County Treasurer by February 13, 2020 the total amount of such unpaid taxes or assessments with the interest, penalties and other expenses and charges, against the property. Such tax liens will be sold at the lowest rate of interest, not exceeding 10 per cent per six month's period, for which any person or persons shall offer to take the total amount of such unpaid taxes as defined in section 5-37.0 of the Nassau County Administrative Code. Effective with the February 18, 2020 lien sale, Ordinance No. 175-2015 requires a $175.00 per day registration fee for each person who intends to bid at the tax lien sale. Ordinance No. 175-2015 also requires that upon the issuance of the Lien Certificate there is due from the lien buyer a Tax Certificate Issue Fee of $20.00 per lien purchased. Pursuant to the provisions of the Nassau County Administrative Code at the discretion of the Nassau County Treasurer the auction will be conducted online.     Artistic Team Director: Jim McMullen Musical Director: Caleb Campbell Choreographer: Madelyn White ERINDALE THEATRE 4 – 20 March 2021 Auditions Where: The Philo Hut, 18 Collie St Fyshwick. Date: 19 & 20 September 2020 Philo will take all precautionary steps to minimise the spread of COVID-19, including observing social distancing practices during auditions. If you are unable to audition due to self-isolation, please contact [email protected] and we will discuss alternate arrangements. If the situation changes, Philo will make the necessary decisions and announcements. Auditions will be held in groups of up to 8-10 people. Your audition will take place in 2 parts. The first section will involve your group learning a small prepared choreographed routine. Please wear something comfortable that you can move in. This is to be followed by you singing your selected song for the panel. The panel will evaluate your song selection on what we hear. We know what we are looking for, so don’t be concerned if you are not required to sing an entire song. Auditionees for Lead roles (named parts listed below) will then do their prepared script for the role they are auditioning for. Please allocate at least 1.5 hours for your audition. Identify your preference of audition time and the roles in which you are auditioning for. Our Production Manager will be in touch with you within 24-48 hours of receipt to confirm your audition time.
