GIRLS SOCCER: steady improvement

The East Noble Knights Girls Soccer team ended their season at the hands of state-ranked Fort Wayne Carroll on October 10. “Even though our

record probably did not show it, we are a very talented team and had a productive year,” said Head Coach Brian Rexroad. The Lady Knights were runners up in the Lakewood Park Invite and they started to show a lot of progress offensively in latter part of the season.

“One of our goals for next year will be to get our offense going a lot sooner. We had a couple of

freshmen that were key members of the team and we have a great core group of ladies to build around for next year,” said Coach Rexroad. “We all agreed,

from coaches and players, we expect more next year.”

Unified flag football succeeds

The Unified Knights ended their season on Saturday, October 5 at the sectional hosted at Tippecanoe Valley High School. The Knights played a tough Central Noble team but fell 33-25. The team finished the season with two wins and three losses. The Knights wins came against Dekalb and North Side, with losses at the hands of Carroll and Central Noble twice. The team fought hard in each game and made great strides to improving. The team not only made improvements on the field but also off the field. Each athlete and partner embraced the Inclusion Revolution and developed bonds that will last a lifetime. The friendships and courage that was built between teammates is what makes the Unified Knights program a success.

VOLLEYBALL ready for tourney

The East Noble Lady Knights Volleyball team is gearing up for the Sectional this weekend held at Fort Wayne Northside High School. The Knights drew a first-round bye and will play the winner of Carroll-Snider in the Semi-Finals on Saturday morning.

East Noble has won 2 of its last 3 matches heading into sectional, including an exciting 5-game match against Norwell on Senior night last week. The Lady Knights nearly knocked off both Snider and Columbia City in 5-game matches as well in early October.

Carroll, of course, will loom as one of the favorites in the sectional. The Chargers won the early regular-season match-up with Knights 3-0 in the Big Blue Pit back in August. East Noble won 2 regular season contests with Sectional opponents and took Snider to 5-games.

All in all, the Knights are playing some of the best volleyball heading into postseason play!
