2 Booking Tickets

When booking tickets, please inform staff of any access requirements to ensure that suitable seating is allocated or other necessary access arrangements can be made.

All 2021 Festival tickets are sold through BASS. Various transaction fees apply depending on where and how you purchase your tickets. For more information visit bass.net.au.

Companion Card

Present your companion card at time of purchase (along with any relevant concession cards) and a second ticket will be issued to your companion at no charge.

Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair Access indicates access for individuals with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. Detailed information on venue access is available at adelaidefestival.com.au.

Assistive Listening

Hearing loop facilities and/or hearing assistance packs are available in the following venues: • Dunstan Playhouse • Festival Theatre • Space Theatre • Her Majesty’s Theatre

There are a limited number of hearing packs available. When booking tickets please notify ticketing staff that you will require assistive listening.

Assistance Dogs Watering Station

Watering stations for assistance dogs are available at Pioneer Women’s Memorial Garden and .

Power Recharge Stations

Wheelchair recharge stations are available at Pioneer Women’s Memorial Garden and Elder Park.

5 Auslan Interpreted Events

What is Auslan interpretation?

During an Auslan interpreted performance, an interpreter stands in a clearly visible location to the audience, and interprets the spoken word and sound effects for for Deaf patrons who use Auslan.

7 Audio Described Events

What is Audio Description?

An Audio Describer delivers a live commentary via a personal headset providing information on the visual elements of a performance as it unfolds.

Please request headsets when booking to ensure availability. Headsets can be collected in foyers of each venue near box office – from one hour prior to show time.

8 Sensory/Tactile Tour Events

What is a sensory tour?

During seosory/tactile tours of theatre sets and exhibitions, describers lead patrons in meeting performers and artists, and discovering key set elements, props, costumes and tactile analogues to enhance the description experience.

The Plastic Bag Store Level 1, Rundle Place, Rundle Mall Sat 27 Feb, 12pm Free Please note as this is an exhibition, the sensory tour is not accompanied by a performance.

9 Events with highly visual content

These events are highly visual and are partly surtitled or include dialogue, background music and / or sounds. The rating dictates how much of the show is visual, opposed to dialogue.

12 Events with assistive listening

These events take place in venues which offer either hearing loop facilities or hearing assistance packs. Hearing loop facilities are limited to particular seats in the Festival Theatre and Dunstan Playhouse, sp please advise BASS at the time of booking.

Hearing assistance packs are available in the Festival Theatre, Her Majesty’s Theatre, Dunstan Playhouse and Space Theatre, available on a first come first served basis. Patrons should arrive at least half an hour before the performance to collect their pack from the venue’s information or concierge desk.

Carrick Hill 46 Drive, Springfield Visitors who are mobility impaired have use of the ‘service entrance’ at 5 Meadowvale Road, which enables them to conveniently alight adjacent to the house. We want the Adelaide Festival to be for everyone and are seeking out community groups and individuals who would love to experience the Festival but just cannot afford it.

This year, with the help of The Balnaves Foundation, we are offering 1500 Tix For Next To Nix across a selection of Festival events for just $5 each. These tickets will be available again in advance of the performance for those with a current Pension or Healthcare Card.

You can apply on the Open House page of our website.

Applications will remain open until ticket allocation is exhausted.

19 Pay What You Can

Low income earner? We have great news for you. If you have a current Healthcare Card, Pension Card or full time student card, you can access Pay What You Can tickets to a selection of Adelaide Festival shows.
