To consider and adopt the audited financial statements of the Chamber as on 31st March 2015 together with the Auditors’ report and the report of the Managing Committee. 2. To elect a President, a Vice-President and five Committee Members. 3. To ratify the appointment of the Auditors and fix their remuneration and in this regard to consider and if thought fit, to pass with or without modification(s), the following resolution as an Ordinary Resolution: “RESOLVED THAT pursuant to the provisions of Section 139 and other applicable provisions, if any, of the Companies Act, ICCI Annual Report 2014-2015 3 2013 and the rules made there under (including statutory modification(s) or re-enactment thereof), the appointment of M/s Kaimal & Co., Chartered Accountants (Firm Registration No. 001746S), Cochin 682002, which has been approved at the Annual General Meeting held on 30th September 2014 for a term of 5 years, (i.e. from the conclusion of the 117th Annual General Meeting for the financial year ended 31st March 2014 until conclusion of the 122nd Annual General Meeting for the financial year ended 31st March 2019), be and is hereby ratified for the financial year 2015-16 on such remuneration as shall be fixed by the Managing Committee.” For Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Sd/- K Raghu Secretary Note: 1. A member entitled to attend and vote at the meeting is entitled to appoint another Member of the Chamber as his proxy to attend and vote instead of himself subject to the provisions of Section 105 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rule 19(1) of Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014. The instrument appointing a proxy may be in the enclosed Form. Such Form should reach the Registered Office of the Chamber at least 48 hours before the time fixed for the meeting. 2. A person can act as proxy on behalf of members not exceeding fifty and holding in the aggregate not more than ten percent of the total share capital of the company carrying voting rights. A member holding more than ten percent of the total share capital of the company carrying voting rights may appoint a single person as proxy and such person shall not act as a proxy for any other person or shareholder. While making the nominations, please note the following: a) The Nomination should be in the enclosed Form b) The Nomination should be proposed by one member and seconded by another member c) In proposing and seconding the Nomination, the authorised representative of the member organisation should sign under the Seal. d) The Candidate should also sign the Nomination Form e) The retiring members are eligible for re-election The Nominations should reach the Chamber Office before 2.00 p.m. on Thursday, the September 17, 2015. The Nomination papers will be scrutinised at 2.30 p.m. and the list of valid nominations will be displayed on the Chamber Notice Board at 4.00 p.m. on the same day.     KERALA BAMBOO FEST 2012 Post Show Report The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala in association with Kerala State Bamboo Mission (KSBM) and Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-BIP) organized the 9th edition of ‘Kerala Bamboo Fest’ (Kerala Bamboo Fest 2012) at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium Ground, Kaloor, Kochi from December 6 to 9, 2012. The Fest was inaugurated by Shri. P.K Kunhalikutty, Hon’ble Minister (Industries & IT) in the meeting presided over by Shri. Hibi Eden, Member of Legislative Assembly (Ernakulam) on December 7, 2012. About 3382 employers and nearly 1.25 lakh Insured Persons are covered with this office. This Office disburses 50-60 payments per day amounting to Rs. 40 lakhs per month. One E.S.I. Hospital and four ESI Dispensaries come under the service area of this Branch Office. This state-of-art modern office sprawls over 11,180 sq.ft in three floors. This new office is designed with all the architectural attributes and facilities that a modern office should be equipped with – a well-laid conference hall, an expansive waiting area, a Medical Referee’s Room, five guest rooms.
