The names of Members of the Lok Sabha serving on the Joint Committees on which Rajya Sabha is represented have also been included under the respective Committees for information. Change of nominations/elections of Members of Rajya Sabha in various Parliamentary Committees/Statutory Bodies is an ongoing process. As such, some information contained in the publication may undergo change by the time this is brought out. When new nominations/elections of Members to Committees/Statutory Bodies are made or changes in these take place, the same get updated in the Rajya Sabha website. The main purpose of this publication, however, is to serve as a primary source of information on Members representing various Committees and other Bodies on which Rajya Sabha is represented upto a particular period. -
Kerala Bamboo Fest 2012
KERALA BAMBOO FEST 2012 Post Show Report The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala in association with Kerala State Bamboo Mission (KSBM) and Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-BIP) organized the 9th edition of ‘Kerala Bamboo Fest’ (Kerala Bamboo Fest 2012) at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium Ground, Kaloor, Kochi from December 6 to 9, 2012. The Fest was inaugurated by Shri. P.K Kunhalikutty, Hon’ble Minister (Industries & IT) in the meeting presided over by Shri. Hibi Eden, Member of Legislative Assembly (Ernakulam) on December 7, 2012. Shri. V.K. Ebrahim Kunju Hon’ble Minister (Works) released the Fest Directory and the same was handed over to Shri. Kameshwar Ojha, Deputy Director General, National Bamboo Mission, New Delhi. Shri. Tony Chammani, Worshipful Mayor, Kochi Corporation; Shri. Dominic Presentation, Member of Legislative Assembly (Kochi), Shri. Benny Behanan, Member of Legislative Assembly (Thrikkakara) delivered Special Addressed during the function. 1 During the inaugural function, persons from mat weaving community & reed cutters selected by Kerala State Bamboo Corporation (KSBC) were honoured by Shri. P.K Kunhalikutty, Hon’ble Minister (Industries & IT). Shri. C.P. John, Member, Kerala State Planning Board & Vice Chairman, Kerala State Bamboo Mission presented a report on ‘the Opportunities in Bamboo sector in the State’ during the inaugural function. Shri. RAGHAVAN: SHRI HIBI EDEN: ADV. ADOOR PRAKASH: Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state: (a) the present status of establishing All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) like institutions in various States, the details of institutes sanctioned, funds allocated, utilized and the works completed; (b) the reasons for not including Kerala in the earlier phase of announcing AIIMS in various States; (c) whether the Government is considering any new proposal for AIIMS, if so, the details thereof, State-wise; (d) whether the Government has received any pending proposal from Kerala for establishing AIIMS; and (e) if so, the details thereof and the present status of the same? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRI ASHWINI KUMAR CHOUBEY) (a): 22 new AIIMS have been approved/announced by the Union Government in various parts of the country. Of these, six new AIIMS in Patna (Bihar), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bhubaneswar (Orissa), Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and Rishikesh (Uttaranchal) are functional. Details of the new AIIMS can be seen at Annexure. (b): Hon’ble Finance Minister, while presenting the Budget for the financial year 2014-15, had announced setting up of four new AIIMS in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Purvanchal in UP, and in the Budget speech 2015-16, had announced to set up six new AIIMS in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Bihar. -

ADOOR PRAKASH: Will the Minister of FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING मत्स्यपालन, पशुपालनऔरडेयरीमंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is aware of the struggle of fishermen families due to fast rising coastal erosion in the country; (b) whether the Government sought report from the States to review the impact of coastal erosion and if so, the details thereof; (c) the areas which are most affected with coastal erosion, State-wise; (d) whether the Government is aware that coastal areas in the State of Kerala are worst hit and majority of shoreline has been eroded and if so, the details thereof; and (e) whether the Government will consider special assistance to the State for effective preventive measures in this regard and if so, the details thereof? Adoor Prakash, Member of Parliament for answer on 10th August, 2021 regarding Impact of Coastal Erosion on Fisheries (a) to (e): Some stretches of India’s shoreline are subject to varying degree of erosion due to natural causes or anthropogenic activities. The coastal erosion does impact coastal communities residing in the erosion prone areas including fishermen communities. -

ADOOR PRAKASH: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमा셍ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) the present status of the construction of new by-pass on NH-66 in Attingal, Kerala by the National Highways Authority of India; (b) whether 3-A notification has been issued for Kazhakkuttam - Kadambattukonam stretch of NH-66 in which Attingal by-pass is proposed and if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government of Kerala has agreed for cost sharing in the national highway development projects in the State and if so, the details thereof; and (d) whether the Union Government proposes to take immediate measures for land acquisition and completion of the project without any delay and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI) (a) Various National Highways of Kerala are identified under Economic Corridors (about 720 km), Inter-corridor Route (about 128 km), National Corridor (about 118 km), etc. of Bharatmala Pariyojana in order to optimize the efficiency of freight and passenger movement. This also includes construction of Bypass at Attingal. (b) The procedure for 3-A notification in this regard has been initiated. (c) to(d)The Government of Kerala has agreed to share 25% land acquisition cost for up-gradation of NH-66 in the State of Kerala. A Financial Participation Agreement to this effect has also been signed in October, 2019 amongst Government of India, Government of Kerala and Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) with provisions of various modalities adopted in this regard for expeditious land acquisition. -
