A pesar de que en 'Eternals' se introducirán nuevos personajes y quizás muy poco conocidos dentro de los cómics, estos serán interpretados por grandes estrellas de Hollywood. La directora del filme será Chloé Zhao, por lo que se espera que la óptica de la cineasta le dé un toque diferente a la trama. La actriz de Los Eternos, Gemma Chan que interpreta a Sersi, tiene claro que la película no dejará indiferente a los fans de Marvel Studios. «Creo que esta será una película muy diferente y especial. Una superheroína con matices que rara vez se ve en este género y que reinventará el concepto de superhéroes», comentó Gemma Chan, actriz que interpretará a Sersi dentro de la película. «No es necesariamente la mejor luchadora, no tiene los poderes más obviamente impresionantes. Lo principal es que es empática. Tiene una gran conexión con los humanos y con el mundo y la tierra. Esa es su fuerza, así que me apoyé en eso», añadió sobre su personaje. «En primer lugar, nunca esperé volver al UCM. Así que fue una sorpresa. Y luego, trabajar con una directora del este de Asia, nunca hubiera soñado con eso, incluso hace unos pocos años», comentó sobre su retorno a Marvel Studios. «Gemma también estaba muy interesada en esta idea y aceptó el desafío. The figure of the “metahuman,” the human with superpowers and purpose, embodies the transfigured nerd whose defects—intellect, swarm-behavior, abnormality, flux, and love of machines—become virtues of survival in the twenty-first century. The conflict among capitalism, fascism, and communism, which drove the Cold War and its immediate aftermath, also drove the Golden and Silver Ages of Comics. In the era of planetary emergency, these forces reconfigure themselves as different versions of world-destruction. The metahuman also signifies going “beyond” these economic and political systems into orders that preserve democracy without destroying the biosphere. Therefore, the styles of metahuman figuration represent an appeal to tradition and a technique of transformation. I call these strategies the iconic style and metamorphic style. The iconic style, more typical of DC Comics, makes the hero an icon of virtue, and metahuman powers manifest as visible signs: the “S” of Superman, the tiara and golden lasso of Wonder Woman.

Marvel Comics Avengers Chronological Appearances By Bob Wolniak ased initially on the Bob Fronczak list from Avengers Assemble and Avengers Forever websites. But unlike Mr. B Fronczak’s list (that stops about the time of Heroes Reborn) this is NOT an attempt at a Marvel continuity (harmony of Marvel titles in time within the fictional universe), but Avengers appearances in order in approx. real world release order . I define Avengers appearances as team appearances, not individual Avengers or even in some cases where several individual Avengers are together (but eventually a judgment call has to be made on some of those instances). I have included some non-Avengers appearances since they are important to a key storyline that does tie to the Avengers, but noted if they did not have a team appearance. Blue (purple for WCA & Ultimates) indicates an Avengers title , whether ongoing or limited series. I have decided that Force Works is not strictly an Avengers title, nor is Thunderbolts, Defenders or even Vision/Scarlet Witch mini- series, although each book correlates, crosses over and frequently contains guest appearances of the Avengers as a team. In those cases, the individual issues are listed. I have also decided that individual Avengers’ ongoing or limited series books are not Avengers team appearances, so I have no interest in the tedious tracking of every Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, or Hank Pym title unless they contain a team appearance or x-over .
