Øst-Finnmarkrådet og Vest-Finnmark Rådet er to politiske samarbeidsorganer, som til sammen organiserer alle de 16 kystkommunene i Finnmark. Finnmark er en region med lange avstander, der man er avhengig av sjøtransporten som en viktig del av logistikk- og beredskapskjeden. Her utgjør normalt Hurtigruten en av de viktigste bærebjelkene. Hurtigruten har vært lojal mot kysten siden oppstarten i 1893, og har overlevd både krig og opp/ned konjunkturer. Men nå i 2020 er vel Hurtigruten inne i en av sine vanskeligste perioder. Det skyldes i all hovedsak Covid 19 pandemien som rammer hele samfunnets. Men vi registrerer også at Hurtigruten de siste årene har endret fokus fra kystens lokale behov til mer å fremstå som et cruise og ekspedisjons rederi. I dagens hurtigruteavtale står det: «Formålet med statens kjøp av transporttjenester langs norskekysten er å sikre et godt rutetilbud for passasjerer som reiser lokalt, regionalt og mellom angitte anløpssteder. Dette er reisende som kun kjøper billett for å reise på selvvalgt strekning og ikke rundreiser, såkalte distansereisende. I tillegg skal det tilbys godskapasitet nord for Tromsø. I dag har Samferdselsdepartementet en avtale med Hurtigruten AS om helårlige, daglige og gjennomgående seilinger med anløp i 34 havner på nord- og 33 på sørgående rute mellom Bergen og Kirkenes. Det statlige kapasitetskravet er fastsatt til 320 passasjerplasser, 120 køyplasser i lugar, og minimum 150 europaller for frakt av gods pr.

Collection of the data took place from 21 May to 31 September 2019. The planning of the survey took into account many different 3 232 interviews factors: from the size of ships, number of calls and nationality of the cruise tourists, to the geographical location of the port, type of port and cruise line, and the assumed segment of the ship/cruise line. All of the interviews were conducted as a personal interview using tablets. Data collection took place over 75 interview days with 80 cruise ships on 175 cruise calls.     Q1 report 2021 Hurtigruten Group AS Consolidated Interim Financial Statements First Quarter 2021 Published 27 May 2021 0 First Quarter 2021 Strong booking momentum for 2022 Hurtigruten Group has experienced a strong booking momentum for sailings in 2022 and 2023. 2022 bookings are, as of 25th of May, 45% higher compared to the same time two years ago for 2020 booking levels. • The strong booking development is driven by both yield and volume in both Hurtigruten Expeditions and Hurtigruten Norway • 2023 has also had a very strong start to the pre-sale period which shows a strong underlying demand for sailings with Hurtigruten Norway and Hurtigruten Expeditions 2H 2021 booking momentum has started to pick up over the last 30 days, but guests are still waiting to see when travel restrictions will be lifted. 2H 2021 bookings are currently 62% of what it would be in a normal year. With the current roll out of the vaccines, the introduction of vaccination passports in the EU and subsequent lifting of travel restrictions, Hurtigruten Norway expects to be back in close to normal operations in July 2021 and Hurtigruten Expeditions expects a gradual ramp up of operations in July 2021 with the expectations to be back in normal operations in Q4 2021. From 1st of January 2021 Hurtigruten Norway has operated 5 ships along the Norwegian Coast, while Hurtigruten Expeditions has all 7 ships in warm lay-up. Hurtigruten er generelt positivt innstilt til alle tiltak som kan medføre en bedring i sjøsikkerheten og forbedret navigasjon langs norskekysten, det være seg merking, etablering av moloer og utdypinger. Selskapet ser seg likevel nødt til å påpeke at tiltak som i utgangspunktet bedrer den generelle sikkerheten, kan ha en negativ effekt i spesifikke tilfeller. Hurtigruten har på ulike tidspunkter vært orientert om prosjektet, og gitt sine innspill i forkant av oppstart. Selskapet har vært tydelig på at moloen ikke vil bidra positivt til å lette innseiling eller avgang for Hurtigrutens skip. Moloen vil etter Hurtigrutens oppfatning skape ytterligere utfordringer i en allerede driftsmessig utfordrende havn. Dette har også Kystverket lagt til grunn i sine kost/nytte- vurderinger. Vi viser blant annet til «Kvalitativ risikoanalyse Mehamn» utført av Safetec på vegne av Kystverket hvor det konstateres; «Hurtigruten er en av aktørene som anløper Mehamn. For Hurtigruten er det en utfordring å legge til ved kaien (med hekken) nord i Mehamn i nordlig/nordvestlig vær. Etablering av molo på Hamnneset vil medføre at Hurtigruten må utføre en større kursendring rundt moloen for å komme til kaien.
