B) Train Tube fares scheme extended The Train Tube Fare scheme is extended to include G A Zone 1 only fare, and G First Class fares for all zonal combinations priced at 1.5 x Standard Class rate Please note that for some journeys a Day Travelcard will be cheaper. Further information and fares are shown in NFM 92, Section L. C) Single Zone and Two Zone Period Travelcard pricing The price of a period Travelcard for Zone 1 (R1) and Zones 1 & 2 (R12) will be the same, and also, the price of a single zone period Travelcard for zones 3, 4, 5 or 6 will be the same as that for two adjacent zones. For example a period Travelcard for Zone 3, is the same price as a period Travelcard for Zones 2&3 and 3&4. Customers requesting a single zone period Travelcard should be advised accordingly and an appropriate 2-zone Travelcard issued. From this date please also note that child rate period Travelcards are 50% of the corresponding adult price. D) ‘In-boundary’ Family Travelcard withdrawn Wholly ‘In-boundary’* Family Travelcards are withdrawn. Train Companies continuing to offer ‘Outboundary’ Family Travelcards are shown in Section K of NFM 92. * NB also withdrawn from LU Metropolitan Line stations beyond Moor Park that are outside the fare zone area and from Ewell West (SWT) E) ‘In-boundary’ All Zones Off-Peak Day Travelcard - Railcard Discounts The reduced price All Zones Off-Peak Day Travelcard fare for holders of national Railcards, Network Railcard and Annual Gold Card holders remains at £4.80 and at £1.00 for up to 4 accompanying children (aged 5-15) where this is permitted. F) Photocard Requirements Photocards are required to buy adult and child rate season tickets as follows:- Adults G For any 7-day or longer period Rail Only season (NB. Not required for wholly ‘In-boundary 7-day Travelcards) G For any monthly or longer period Travelcard Season EXCEPT when issued on Oyster Children (aged 5 -15) G For any 7-day or longer period ‘Rail Only’ season or Travelcard But Note: i) National Rail stations and outlets can accept either a National Rail Child photocard, or where the ticket is for a wholly 'In-boundary' journey with either a Travelcard or Rail Only season, a TfL 'Under 16 (Child) Oyster photocard. 3 Old style TfL '5-10' and '11-15' Child photocards should only be accepted for travel in conjunction with tickets issued prior to 2nd January 2006. G ii) London Underground stations and other TfL outlets ONLY accept 'Under 16 (Child) Oyster Photocards' EXCEPT at designated London Underground ticket offices (see Section 6 for details), where children presenting a National Rail issued Child photocard can be issued with a 'Rail Only', NOT Travelcard, season 16 & 17 year olds G Holders of a valid TfL ‘16-17’ Photocard can purchase a 'Child' rate 7-day or longer period Travelcards valid wholly within the London Fare Zone area only.Tickets can be issued using appropriate period Travelcard mag stripe ticket stock or loaded on to Oyster, but not dated to expire beyond the date shown on the ’16-17’ Photocard. 18+ Students G Holders of a valid TfL Student Oyster Photocard can purchase adult 7-day and longer period Travelcards valid wholly within the London Fare Zone area at a discount of 31%. Tickets can be issued using appropriate period Travelcard mag stripe ticket stock or loaded on to Oyster, but not beyond the expiry date of the Student Oyster photocard. G) London Underground (Tube) Carnet Tickets withdrawn London Underground Carnet tickets are being withdrawn. Carnets issued prior to 2 January 2006 will continue to be valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue for travel on London Underground and Thameslink services within Fare Zone 1 only. H) London Connections, London & the South East and London Fares Zones (formerly Travelcard) Maps These maps have been updated to reflect train service changes from 11 December, and the station zonal changes from 2 January 2006 as detailed in item 8 (Southern Station Rezoning). Supplies of the ‘London Connections’ and ‘London & the South East’ station posters, and also the fold-up pocket guides have been delivered to TOC distribution depots. Please note however that as the station re- zoning changes are not effective until 2 January, the London Connections poster version is embargoed and must not be displayed before this date. This offer will be promoted with G Leaflets racked at staffed stations from mid-December and throughout the promotion period; G A website featuring the offer, with links from the National Rail website (www.nationalrail.co.uk) and some TOC websites; G Online advertising funded by Best Western. Customers may visit their local staffed station for leaflets and travel information. You can help to make this special offer a big success by G Displaying leaflets in racking very prominently at stations; G Making yourself familiar with the offer; G Ensuring there is a good supply of leaflets at the booking/enquiry office and handing them out to travellers where appropriate. Customers can get further information on hotels participating in the offer from the Best Western website – www.bestwestern.co.uk/2for1 or by ringing Best Western on 0845 33 00 494. To book their break customers need to: G Buy a rail ticket from any station ticket office, TOC website/telesales centre or rail appointed travel agent; G Check www.bestwestern.co.uk/2for1 for a list of participating hotels; G Call Best Western Central Reservations on 0845 33 00 494 quoting 2 for 1 for prices and to book. Customers will receive confirmation of the booking from Best Western in the post, by fax or by e-mail.They need to check the details are correct and then take the confirmation along to their hotel when they stay.Customers do not need any vouchers to take up this offer. They simply need to produce their rail tickets at their chosen hotel to validate their booking. This offer is also valid for customers with Season Tickets and TOC staff. They will just need to show their Season Ticket or staff travel pass at the hotel to validate their booking.
