The Saluki Club of Canada offers a perpetual trophy, in honour and remembrance of Nell Hyde, to be awarded at our national specialties. We thank Carole Adley for her efforts in this project. The inscription reads: The Elana Trophy in memory of Nell Hyde, Elana Salukis for Top Show/Lure Coursing Saluki

Nell Hyde was a Saluki owner, breeder and exhibitor for 35 years. Her prefix, Elana, is in many pedigrees, and her line was noted for athletic ability, beauty and wonderful tem-perament. Versatility was important to Nell, and she both showed and lure coursed her dogs with great success. This trophy recognizes the Saluki that has proven confor- mation to the breed standard and superiority in the lure coursing field during the year.
