BRISBANE CYCLING FESTIVAL Get ready for the ride of your life when the Brisbane Cycling Festival rolls back into Brisbane from 24 March - 12 April 2021. The festival will get everyone pumped with professional, junior, mass participation and spectator events that are celebrated at the Anna Meares Velodrome (purpose built for the 2018 Commonwealth Games) and iconic Brisbane landmarks such as Brisbane Showgrounds, Mount Coot-tha, the Story Bridge plus many more.
In 2021, the Brisbane Cycling Festival will host spectacular major events across three action-packed weeks, along with 50+ supporting events:
The festival kicks off with the launch event Spokes n’ Jokes at King St, which is designed for the passionate corporate cycling community, industry participants and cycling enthusiasts attending the festival. Hosted by Matt Keenan, this cocktail style event will present a relaxed feel, entertaining event focusing on the lighter side of the pursuit of cycling and will feature a storytelling session with past greats, a look to the future; previewing Australia’s prospects at the 2021 Tokyo Games, plus look even further ahead to the prospects of a SEQ Olympics in 2032. The Brisbane Showgrounds is the home of the new Brisbane Cycling Festival SBS Village for 2021. The SBS Festival Village will include the Active Lifestyle Expo, multi discipline cycling events within the showgrounds and the broader AusCycling Track National Championships are hosted at the Anna Meares King St precinct.
