No figures may be incorporated from a lower grade. (b) Batting average - a player must have at least the same number of innings as there are opposing teams in that grade and score not less than two hundred and fifty (250) runs in all matches. (c) Bowling average - a player must procure at least twenty (20) wickets in all matches. Where a team has no players eligible for an award, the bowler with the most wickets or batsman with the most runs becomes eligible for the award. Statistics While we Endeavour to ensure the accuracy of the information in this year book, the quality of what goes into your scorebooks reflects the quality of your season's final statistics. As often has it, scores are recorded by the opposition or players who are not necessarily skilled scorers, so it's important that you regularly review that your statistics are correct and complete throughout the season. Life and 10 Year Members Life Membership is the highest form of personal recognition for any member (player, coach, committee or other volunteer) who has contributed significantly to Bligh Park Cricket Club above normal means. To be eligible for nomination for Life Membership of the Club a person must have demonstrated that he or she has actively assisted the Club in achieving its objectives over a period of time prior to his or her nomination for Life Membership. 10 Year Members are those who have contributed or played 10 consecutive season for either solely for Bligh Park Cricket Club or a combination of 10 consecutive years of only Bligh Park Cricket Club and Representative Cricket. While not linked to Life Membership, this is recognition from the club on player loyalty and the value we see within it. To all players, coaches, team personnel, family members and friends, Tonight concludes Season 2006/07, which also concludes a significant milestone for Bligh Park Cricket Club, bringing up its 10th season since its formal inception as BPCC. For those who are unknown to its origins, the club originated from a ‘pub side’, known as the Royal Exchange then later moving to become Aussie Social. Back then we usually had 1 or 2 senior teams accompanying a Junior team, sometimes two. Throughout 96/97, with most of the players residing at Bligh Park, a commercial decision was made to relocate the club and to be known as Bligh Park Cricket Club Inc. This was a significant step, maturing the club from the pub days to converge on an area with high population and despite Windsor Leagues nearby, the town officially had no club. It was a move that proved to be a great success. Over the 10 years, BPCC has grown to become one of the largest clubs in the district. Over the last 5 years, we have averaged over 5 Junior sides and over 6 Senior sides. This could not have transpired without the hard work and commitment of all the players, parents, coaches, managers, committee, family and friends. To attain a large successful club over a short time, keeping to our core values of getting players participating in the great game of cricket, being played in good spirit while maintaining a healthy club image is a credit to us all. The club again had a successful season, with 6 Senior teams and very importantly 5 highly talented and enthusiastic Junior teams, who will hopefully be playing through and providing us with some great talented seniors in years to come. We came away with an under 13’s Premiership and very strong placings in all other age groups. The future for BPCC looks grand…..unless they get selected for NSW before that!!!! Again, thanks go to all the parents, players and coaches for their contribution. We were very unlucky not to come away with a premiership in the seniors. 1st Grade were in a great position to make its maiden final appearance until luck feel away from them and the weather and covers that the wind blew loose at Richmond Oval put a stop to their campaign. We would have faced good rivals Nth Richmond, who we had comprehensively beaten throughout the regular season. There’s little reason why we can’t go all the way next season. Fourth and sixth (white) grades were also in a position to bring a premiership each to the club after strong seasons, but missed out during the semi-finals. Third, sixth (blue) and seventh all should be commended for the efforts put in, but a disruptive year for those teams seemed to hinder their efforts. Again the committee, at times under some difficult circumstances, did very well to ensure the season went as smoothly as possible. Particular mention must go to Tania Coull whose contribution to the club was tremendous – which could actually be an understatement! So many things that we all take for granted usually got completed because of Tania’s dedication and commitment. Thanks Tania! On behalf of the club, I’d like to thank every one of you for your contribution, not just this season – but throughout the clubs history. This includes all the parents/guardians, coaches, managers, assistants, volunteers, committee, family, friends and most of all – the players. We are all proud of the way we’re represented and wish everyone a happy off- season and see you next season!!! Regards Ray Bremner President, Bligh Park Cricket Club Inc. • 2003/04 Was Undoubtedly the Most Successful Season in the Club’S History
To all players, family members and friends, Season 2003/04 was undoubtedly the most successful season in the Club’s history. Starting from Grass-roots, our juniors excelled, with the Under 16’s taking out BPCC maiden Junior Premiership title. Our Under 10’s, were easily the benchmark side in the competition, though under the new rules, there’s no competition ladder as such. The Under 11’s missed out on the finals, with Mother Nature not helping out through the season. The Under 12’s missed the finals by a whisker, while the Under 13’s did make the semi finals, but unfortunately didn’t progress to the final. With the seniors, all but 3rd Grade made the finals, with 2nd and 5th Grade making the step to the Final. 5th Grade was unlucky on the day, while 2nd Grade won the Premiership in great style against North Richmond. With BPCC winning in our senior teams in both the Junior and Senior competitions shows we are a true force in the district and shows we have a great future. Like years gone and what we have planned for next season, BPCC had a great social presence within the Club. Firstly with the Trivia Nights, hosted for the first time by Danny, Duane and John, who did a great job, made it an extremely fun night for all that attended and helped raise the funds required for the Club. The Super-8’s was also another success story. We have a huge attendance with a lot of fun, plenty of wickets and plenty of runs scored.

Belhus Cricket Club 50th Anniversary Part D Belhus CC 1960 - 2010 ………………………. Foreword “I am very honoured to be asked to provide a short foreword to this 50th anniversary commemorative booklet. The recreational game in the county is the lifeblood of the game, and from a county perspective it provides us with the platform to produce our next generation of Essex and England cricketers. There is no doubt that much of our development work would be impossible without our close links with those working at the grass roots level. Running a club in these challenging times is no mean feat, and to have reached an admirable „half century‟ is a testimony to the commitment and dedication of Belhus Cricket Club members and committees. You should all be congratulated on this achievement and I wish you the very best of luck for the future”. David East Chief Executive, Essex County Cricket Club …………………………………. …………………………………… 2 The Record Winning Run-Chase Not surprisingly, Southend-on-Sea chose to bat first in the First XI‟s match at North Stifford on 20th June 2009. And their decision proved justified as they raced to 130 without loss. Philip McIntosh made a fine century, but Billy Winter‟s spell of 5 overs for 11 runs restricted the Southend total to 275 for 2 declared from 52 overs. There was no real debate among the Belhus team at the tea interval. Our players, and visitors too, are well aware of the quality and consistency of our pitch on which big totals can easily be chased down. So we set about our task in an unflustered way, with all of our batsmen making respectable contributions.

Winter is upon us and so to the end of another successful 2008/09 season. This season has given us even more reason to celebrate by taking out the Club Championship this season. This is the second time the club has achieved this in its 12 years of history. This is a great credit to the club and all of its members. And once again being one of the largest clubs in the Hawkesbury district. This season the club again fielded 6 junior teams, one in each age division. The 11’s, 13’s and 14’s all made it through to the semi finals, with the 11’s progressing through to the final. Our under 10’s is a non competition age group, although they don’t play finals they too would have no doubt featured in a finals series and hopefully with some proposed changes to this age group next season, they will get their chance to win a title.
