Baylor in , , , , , , , , and A 25 Day Program in and Archaeology July 5-29, 2007

BII offers one course in Latin, Epistles and Epigraphy (LAT 3311, 1B), and two courses in archaeology, Roman Topography (CLA 3321, 1B) and Archaeology of Sicily (CLA 4331, 1B). The archaeology courses are designed to give each participant in-depth background in the art, topography, and of the ancient world. Students fly to Rome for two weeks of on-site study. Afterwards the trip moves south for the next two weeks, through Campania (the Naples area, Pompeii, Paestum) and Sicily. The accommodations in Italy are all superb. The Hotel Sant' Anna in Rome, just a short walk from St. Peter's Basilica, is a beautifully renovated building. In Paestum and , the hotels are located right on the beach, with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean.

Trip features include: • Double or triple rooms in fine hotels • All breakfasts and dinners; some lunches. • R/T airfare on a major carrier, DFW or Austin to Rome • Charter Bus in Italy • All museum entries • All tips and taxes

The sights, the sounds, the monuments, and the places you visit when you are in Italy become the classroom. In this academic program, you will take notes on site, visit live excavations, climb under buildings, and see things off-limits to the general public.

We offer three options: 1. Full Trip: $4495 25 days in Rome, Campania, Capri, Naples, Pompeii, Paestum, Southern Italy, and Sicily 2. Northern Section Only: $3395 16 days in Rome, Campania, Capri, Naples, Pompeii, Paestum 3. Southern Italy and Sicily Only: $2895 11 days in Paestum, Southern Italy, and Sicily
