COMMUNITY NOTICE Temporary Changes to the Roadway Network from 9PM Friday, October 10th to 6AM Monday, October 13th, 2014 (Columbus Day Weekend) As part of the installation of a green roof on Barclays Center, two construction cranes will be installed on Atlantic Avenue and Sixth Avenue. Crane assembly will require these temporary roadway closures: • Dean Street, between Flatbush and Sixth Avenues will be fully closed for the entire weekend • Sixth Avenue, between Dean and Bergen Streets will be fully closed for the entire weekend • Sixth Avenue, between Atlantic Avenue and Dean Street will be closed intermittently These closures will necessitate the temporary detour of vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic from the affected blocks. Flagmen and Traffic Enforcement Agents (as required per DOT and NYPD) will be provided to assist with vehicular and pedestrian movement. Variable Message Signs will direct drivers to the approved detour routes, which are shown on the map below. Sidewalks in work zone areas will remain open only to residents and visitors of affected blocks.
