Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) Stars: , Priscilla Lane, Raymond Massey Plot: Stellar performances highlight this delightfully witty adaptation of the hit Broadway play about two dotty spinsters with a peculiar avocation: helping lonely old gents by poisoning them and burying them in the cellar. The plot dives deeper when five Army nurses board the all-male ship and further rock the boat in this lively comedy, which was nominated for a Best Screenplay Oscar. Dina Merrill co-stars.
