  • The Katyn Forest Massacre
SOVIET EVIDENCE AT NUREMBERG -- THE KATYN FOREST MASSACRE: NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON’T -- How the Soviets Manufactured Fake German War Crimes for the Nuremberg Court Translated by Carlos Whitlock Porter 2 [TITLE] SOVIET EVIDENCE AT NUREMBERG -- THE KATYN FOREST MASSACRE:- NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON’T How the Soviets Manufactured Fake German War Crimes for the Nuremberg Court Document USSR-54 as presented at Nuremberg Translated from German by Carlos Whitlock Porter Checked against the original Russian Copyright © 2018 by Carlos Whitlock Porter. All rights reserved. http://www.cwporter.com SOVIET EVIDENCE AT NUREMBERG -- THE KATYN FOREST MASSACRE: NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON’T How the Soviets Manufactured Fake German War Crimes for the Nuremberg Court Translator’s note: The following is a typical example of Nuremberg “evidence”. The “testimony” consists of “written statements” said to have been signed by “eyewitnesses”, but which are simply “quoted” in a “report” written by the Stalinists and read aloud (in excerpt form) by the Soviet prosecutor. The “statements” are not attached to the report, the “witnesses” do not appear in court, and the “original documents” are not attached. The Soviets were assigned by the Nuremberg Tribunal with the task of introducing all the evidence of German atrocities in Eastern Europe. Nearly all Nuremberg evidence is of similar quality, if not worse. The “forensic report” quoted in this “report” was the ONLY forensic report ever introduced into evidence at Nuremberg. The victims at Katyn were buried in greatcoats and boots in perfect condition. If they had been alive doing heavy road construction work for another year and a half, from April 1940 until September 1941 as claimed by the Russians, these articles would have shown severe wear.

  • Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies Significant Archival Collections from and Relevant to the Former Soviet Union This Guide P
Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies Significant Archival Collections from and relevant to the Former Soviet Union This guide provides users with a select list of USHMM archival collections that originate in the states of the former Soviet Union. Its aim is to present a sample of the rich archival resources at the Museum and to suggest future avenues of research on the Holocaust as it occurred in the former Soviet Union. The number of Soviet resources in the holdings of the Museum’s Archives continues to grow at a rapid pace. Researchers can access more than 4.7 million pages of microfilmed and paper collections, as well as access millions of additional relevant pages in the digital holdings of the International Tracing Service archive on the Museum campus. These collections constitute an important, largely untapped portion of the Museum’s more than 190 million pages of archival holdings and present to scholars information on the vast range of information on the Holocaust as it occurred in the Soviet Union and it affected Soviet peoples. Users can identify archival collections by record group (RG) number or by accession number (Acc). RG and Acc numbers that include the letter “M” are available on microfilm or microfiche. To access the regularly updated Archival Guide to the Collections of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, please visit http://www.ushmm.org/online/archival-guide/. ':i b Vs'^'' DEDICATION To my life-long chum, my father, these pages are affectionately dedicated. FOREWORD These pages are made np of letters written dur- ing a little journey through Scandinavia and into Eussia as far as Moscow, some four years^ ago, be- fore the smashing of the Russians by the Japanese. Tiiey were written to my father, and are necessarily intimat^ letters, in which I have jotted down what I saw and felt as the moment moved me. The truth is, I was on my honey-moon trip, and the world sang merrily to me—even in sombre Eussia. Afterward, some of these letters were published here and there; now they are put together into this little book. I had my kodak with me and have thus been able to add to the text some of the scenes my lens made note of. It was my endeavor at the time, that the kindly circle who read the letters should see as I saw, feel as I felt, and apprehend as I apprehended ; that they should share with me the delight of travel through serene and industrious Denmark, among the grand and stupendous fjelds and fjords of romantic Nor- way; should visit with me a moment the Capital of once militant Sweden, and join me in the excitement of a plunge into semi-barbarous Russia.
