Boosie was accused of paying a 16 year old named Michael "Marlo" Louding $2,800 to shoot and kill Terry Boyd. The prosecution claimed that Lil' Boosie had admitted to the murder in his lyrics, while the defense stated that Boosie was simply playing up a negative image for his Hip Hop persona. The defense did not call a single witness, relying on the jury to make their decision. Leaving much of the burden of proof upon the prosecution. The jury, which was anonymous, deliberated for a little over an hour before they returned the not guilty verdict. Fans, family and supporters were all gathered outside the 19th judicial courthouse in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in excitement and joy for the "not guilty" verdict. Security armed the streets as fans danced and chanted the name of Boosie's lawyer "Jason... Jason... Jason!"
