Closest airport among abovementioned airports is the Leipzig/Halle airport.

Therefore, we recommend you to look at possibility of arriving to this airport. Usually, there is a connection through (e.g. Turkish airlines) to Leipzig/Halle airport. Please check the availability of this option from your travel origin. If this option is not available or too expensive, then you could arrive to any other three airports. Leipzig/Halle Airport: Leipzig/Halle Airport is located 20 km from Halle. Shuttle trains leave every 30 minutes to Halle main station (“Halle () Hbf”). After your arrivals, take train S-Bahn S5X from Leipzig/Halle Airport (“Leipzig/Halle Flughafen”), platform (Gleis) 2, to Halle main station (“Halle (Saale) Hbf)”. Halle main station is the next stop after Leipzig/Halle Airport. The train ticket (4,30 EUR) is available at the ticket machine (“Fahrkarten”). Berlin-Schönefeld Airport:

150 km from Halle. Regular trains leave the station “Berlin-Schönefeld

Flughafen” (200 m from airport) to Halle main station (“Halle (Saale) Hbf”). There are no direct connections: you have to change trains at least once. Check

the internet (www.bahn.de) or ask for some help among service (“”). The train ticket is available at the ticket machine (Fahrkarten) in Terminal A, the railway station or on the platform. Price: changes according to connections, c. 45 EUR.

Berlin-Tegel Airport: 170 km from Halle. Take the shuttle bus (“Bus TXL”) to Berlin main station (“Berlin Hbf”). That bus leaves every 5 minutes. Get off at “Washingtonplatz/Hauptbahnhof”. The bus ticket (“Ticket AB Einzelfahrschein”, 2,60 EUR) is available at the yellow ticket machine (“BVG”) or from the bus driver. Duration: 22 minutes. Then go to the ticket machine or DB service point/Travel Center/“Reise Centrum” inside “Hauptbahnhof”. Purchase a train ticket to Halle main station (“Halle (Saale) Hbf”). You might have to change the train. Duration: 2-3 hours. Price: changes according to connections, c. 45 EUR.

Frankfurt Airport:

400 km from Halle. There are ICE/IC trains from to Halle main station. You can purchase a ticket for train from DB TravelCenter/“Reise Centrum” DB) in Terminal 1, B Concourse, Level 0 or from the ticket machine (Fahrkarten/Tickets) in Terminal 1, Level 0. Purchase a ticket from Frankfurt Airport (“Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf”) to Halle main station (“Halle (Saale) Hbf”). You might have to change the train. Duration: 3-5 hours. Price: changes according to connections, c. 80 EUR.

You can also purchase cheaper online tickets for train at this website (by EC debit card, credit card). Tickets can also be purchased at the platform or at some service points by EC debit car, credit card or cash. Please note: You can always ask someone for help or information! Just look for people wearing the “DB”-sign. There is a tough chance to find Russian speaking natives at any bigger station.

III) From Halle main station (“Halle (Saale) Hbf”) to …

… IAMO: Take tram Nr. 4 (direction Kröllwitz) or Nr. 5 (direction Kröllwitz). Purchase the ticket from the ticket machine (2.10 EUR). Train ticket should be validated in the machine inside the train and kept till the end of the ride. Get off at “Weinberg Campus”. Look for that building righthand:
