SOO DAYTON, Ohio, April 10, 1967 Five University of Dayton professors have been promoted to. the rank of full professor, 13 were elevated to associate professor and another 10 were jumped from instructor to assistant professor, Very Rev. Raymond A. Roesch, S.M., University President, announced today. The promotions were made by Father Roesch after recommendations from Department Chairmen , Deans, the Academic Council and Rev. Charles J. Lees, S.M., University Provost. They become effective with the start of the 1967-68 school year in August. The 28 professors have been invited to the President's Dinner for faculty who have distinguished themselves during the current school year. The dinner, which will be held in the Kennedy Union Ballroom Monday, April 17, honors faculty who have been given one of the three Professor of the Year awards, have been promoted, or have received some special honor such as grants for research, etc. The five men elevated to full professor are Dr. B. J. Bedard, Chairman, Department of English; Dr. Ellis Joseph, Chairman, Department of Secondary Education; Dr. Norman George, Director, MBA Program; Mr. Harry Murphy, Chairman, Department of Marketing, and Mr. Adrian Morgan, Department of Electrical Engineering. ~~ Following is background on the aforementioned five and the other 23 professors who have been promoted: TO RANK OF FULL PROFESSOR DR.
