I look forward to many more years of opportunity to cheer the Bearcats from the stands-but no longer as their "Prexy." During the seasons since 1955, our team members have provided us with many oppor tunities for both cheers and groans. But always they have manifested courage, a competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and loyalty. These are attributes of which today's world is sorely in need; and these are the traits, also, that will be exhibited by the members of the 1970 Bear cat squad. We all wish Coach Ray Callahan, his staff, and his players much success this year-a crucial year for collegiate football throughout the country. And we are grateful for the important supportive efforts of Dr. Robert A. Wojciak and his UC Marching Band, of the charming and skilled Bearkittens, and of the lively and energetic cheerleaders. Here's to an exciting and winnning football season! WALTER C. LANGSAM President CINCINNATI FOOTBALL PROGRAM 3 We like to say YESEvery banking service is yours at Provident. RUEHLMANN MAYOR September 4, 1970 University of Cincinnati Cincinnati, Ohio It is a pleasure once again to extend to the University of Cincinnati Bearcats our best wishes for a successful 1970 Football Season. College football not only provides exciting athletic participation on the part of the undergraduates, but it also generates spectator enthusiasm and campus spirit for many of the undergraduates as well as alumni. The University of Cincinnati has maintained throughout the years an excellent athletic program, and I firmly believe this has played an important part in creating an excellent, well- balanced university curriculum. Cincinnatians are grateful for the significant role which the university has played in the growth and development of our city. May it be the resolve of the student body, faculty, administrators, alumni, and the Citizens of Cincinnati that the University of Cincinnati shall continue to be a leader in all aspects of her involvement. Good luck to the Bearcat Coach Ray Callahan, his staff, and all of the team members for a most successful season. Cl NCI N NATI FOOTBALL PROGRAM 5 Send us your tired and traffic trodden •••• I Yes!
