Your Local Education Authority LEAs (Education/Pupil Services/Leisure Departments etc.) now very rarely give awards to cover full or partial fees and travel expenses for students. However, some County and Borough Authorities may still grant awards at their discretion and parents are encouraged to approach them directly for details.

Other local sources of funding There are sometimes small, trusts and foundations that are willing to support students in their catchment area with their musical education. Inevitably, we cannot give a comprehensive list of these for each area, but often local solicitors are the best source of information.
