Referendum Systems in Europe

Abstract
We shall start with a discussion of referendum as a form of direct democracy followed by some observations on referendums in European countries. We then made efforts to understand why referendums have been employed in EU countries. Furthermore, we will examine some moral considerations have been raised. Finally, we will ponder over some practical suggestions.
