NON-STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF PEDAGOGY in Białystok has the honour to invite you to take part in the 1st Scientific Congress: Man in the age of contemporary challenges and threats which will be held 10 – 11 May 2018 It is well known that nowadays, with the development of civilisation, there is an increasing threat to both individuals and society as a whole. For a man living in the age of terrorism, conflict and other determinants of globalisation, the need for security has become equal to physiological needs thus generating motivation for action and development. From this perspective, it is worthwhile to look at the aspects of threats and face the challenges of the contemporary world in relation to different fields of social sciences. The aim of the Congress is to evaluate the threats and challenges of the present day which determine the quality of life and safety of people, to share achievements, experiences and opinions as well as to discuss and present the scientific accomplishments of the researchers and theoreticians from universities and non-academic institutions from Poland and abroad. March 20, 2018 - acceptance of the topic of the scientific article by the Congress organisers. Detailed information on the Congress's programme schedule. April 30, 2018 – deadline for full text submission (with the abstract and information on the author). March 30, 2018 - deadline of payment for the Congress fee. Registration All the colleagues and professionals who wish to share their experiences in the various aspects outlined above are invited to send a registration form by March 2, 2018. Publication All articles sent in will undergo a two-step blind peer-review process. All accepted texts will be published in the monograph. In order to facilitate the publishing process, please observe the following rules: name and surname of author (s) - font 12 pt. name of a higher education institution and organisational unit - font 12 points. title of the paper - font 14 pt. Bold; subtitles - font 12 points. Bold. the volume of the paper (including illustrations and tables) should not exceed 15 typewritten A4 pages. font -Times New Roman - size 12 points. 1,5 lines spacing. the layout of the paper - typical for scientific works - should consist of a summary with a maximum of 15 lines, keywords, introduction, methodology of research and its discussion, summary and conclusions, as well as a list of literature. footnotes. tables and drawings shall be black-and-white with consecutive numbers, titles and sources.
