(11) People think thirteen is an unlucky number because things often come in groups of twelve. (12) For example there are twelve

months in a year. (13) There are twelve hours on a clock. (14) There are twelve eggs in a carton. (15) Some people celebrate twelve days of Christmas. (16) The number thirteen is seen as odd. (17) The number thirteen is seen as extra. (18) This extra number is bad luck. (19) As a result, most staircases don’t have a thirteenth step. (20) Most tall buildings dont have a thirteenth floor. (21) Most planes don’t have a thirteenth row. (22) Chris said, “I won’t even sit at a table with thirteen guests.” (23) Also, people think it is bad luck because many bad things have happened on fridays. (24) In the Bible, Jesus died on a Friday. (25) In history, many ships that left their ports on Fridays were lost at sea. (26) To this day, some people won’t start things on Fridays. (27) You can think what you want about Friday the 13th. (28) Good luck or bad, it is fun to take notice of the well-known day.
