THE DRIFTERS / CORNELL GUNTER's COASTERS / the PLATTERS 300 Million Records Sold Live in Concert! THE DRIFTERS / CORNELL GUNTER’S COASTERS / THE PLATTERS 300 Million Records Sold Live in Concert! "The longest running music show in Las Vegas History" - The Drifters, Cornell Gunter's Coasters and The Platters. Three rock and roll hall of fame legends on the same stage, for one night only. With more than 94 charted records and 45 top 10 hits combined, you’ll hear favorites like Under The Boardwalk, Stand By Me, On Broadway, This Magic Moment, Up On The Roof, Save The Last Dance for Me, Yakety Yak, Charlie Brown, Poison Ivy, Only You, The Great Pretender, Magic Touch, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, and many more. About The Drifters: The history of rhythm and blues is filled with vocal groups whose names -- the Orioles, the Cadillacs, the Crows, the Flamingos, the Moonglows, the Coasters, the Penguins -- are held in reverence by fanatics and devotees. The Drifters are part of an even more exclusive fraternity, as a group that managed to carve out a place for themselves in the R&B firmament and also define that music, not only at its inception as a national chart phenomenon in the early '50s but also in the decade that followed. Their place in history is as complex as their role in it, by virtue of the fact that there are two distinct phases to their music and the continuity of their membership, and their extraordinary longevity -- only the Platters could claim as great a span of years as an active recording unit. About Cornell Gunter's Coasters: The Coasters were one of the few artists in rock history to successfully straddle the line between music and comedy. Their undeniably funny lyrics and on-stage antics might have suggested a simple troupe of clowns, but Coasters records were no mere novelties -- their material, supplied by the legendary team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, was too witty, their arrangements too well-crafted, and the group itself too musically proficient. That engaging and infectious combination made them one of the most popular early R&B/rock & roll acts, as well as one of the most consistently entertaining doo wop/vocal groups of all time. About The Platters: With classics such as "The Great Pretender," "Only You," and their rendition of "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," the Platters were one of the preeminent doo-wop groups of the rock & roll era. Under the guidance of manager and producer Buck Ram, the Platters churned out hit after hit during the 1950s, bridging the gap between more traditional vocal-group stylings and the popular R&B grooves of the early '50s. Their sound was unique, marked by lead singer Tony Williams' powerful vocals and the feminine touch of singer Zola Taylor. .

During the mid-to-late 1950s, the ultra- polished vocal group was the epitome of cool, velvet-smooth harmonizing as they cranked out an avalanche of smash ballads under the supervision of manager Buck Ram. Filmmakers cast them as the relatively safe and sedate antidote to the otherwise steamy sounds dished up in the memorable films ‘Rock Around the Clock,’ ‘The Girl Can’t Help It,’ ‘Rock All Night,’ ‘Carnival Rock,’ and ‘Girls Town,’ their segments allowing overheated teenagers a chance to to. west coast music Midnight Special Please find attached the Midnight Special song list for your review. SPECIAL DANCES for Weddings: Please note that we will need your special dance requests, (I.E. First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance etc) FOUR WEEKS in advance prior to your event so that we can confirm that the band will be able to perform the song(s) and that we are able to locate sheet music. In some cases where sheet music is not available or an arrangement for the full band is need- ed, this gives us the time needed to properly prepare the music and learn the material. Clients are not obligated to send in a list of general song requests. Many of our clients ask that the band just react to whatever their guests are responding to on the dance floor. Our clients that do provide us with song requests do so in varying degrees. Most clients give us a handful of songs they want played and avoided. Recently, we’ve noticed in increase in cli- ents customizing what the band plays and doesn’t play with very specific detail. If you de- sire the highest degree of control (allowing the band to only play within the margin of songs requested), we ask for a minimum of 100 requests. We want you to keep in mind that the band is quite good at reading the room and choosing songs that best connect with your guests. The more specific/selective you are, know that there is greater chance of losing certain song medleys, mashups, or newly released material the band has.

A SPECTACULAR EXTRAVAGANZA OF FANTASTIC ENTERTAINMENT!! “The Last Original Stars” From: The Temptations • Drifters Coasters • Motown Salute Saturday, October 16th, 2021 EARLY BIRD EARLY BIRD SPECIAL!! 7:00 pm SPECIAL!! Thank You For Supporting Our Veterans From the Sahara Hotel and Casino’s “PLATTERS-COASTERS-DRIFTERS” salute ten-year run, in Las Vegas, Myles Savage lead singer from those “LAST ORIGINAL STARS” truly rocked the house receiving a roaring standing ovation after giving a spell-bounding rendition of “Smoke Gets In your Eyes”. At last Saturday’s sold-out concert in Sydney, Australia, the Capitol Theatre crowd shouted for more, so Ramone Noble lead singer from the Drifters gave them a super soulful rendition of “Stand By Me” using his heavenly gifted enharmonic singing style like a vocal acrobat. Early Clover from the Cornell Gunter Coasters grabbed “Charlie Brown” right off the first row of the audience and gave him some advice about “Poison Ivy” then he sold Charlie Brown a bottle of “Love Potion # 9”. While singing “Unchained Melody” Myles Savage stole the hearts of the ladies and had everyone in the theater slow dancing, revisiting their high school prom night. Many dancing couples were crying. One lady stood up but she could not find a partner, so Myles walked off the stage and danced with her while he sang “ Only You” to her. It was a very heartfelt and happy evening. Again, the crowd rose out of their seats with another thunderous round of applause, stomping their feet. One lady said, “It’s like we’re at the Apollo Theater in New York City for a reunion of all these great Rock & Roll Hall of Fame groups.
