2020 Charity Listing Be the Face of Change Show Some Love at GiveCFC.org Dear Federal Colleagues: Be the Face of Change! The 2020 Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA) provides us an opportunity to Show Some Love for causes that are important to us. Thousands of organizations in the CFC look to us for support. They represent hundreds of causes, from hunger and healthcare, to animal welfare and injustice, to education and veterans. Here are a few examples of the positive impact you can have locally, nationally and internationally, when you join the CFC community: • $25 equips volunteer firefighters serving their community; • $58 covers one year of school fees and supplies for a child; • $200 trains a veteran to enter the civilian workforce. This is our campaign and our story. Together we give, volunteer and engage to raise critical funds for thousands of beneficiaries, whom we may never meet. When we help those in need, we help write their story to success; and in turn, write the story of our own philanthropic legacy. There is no better time to Show Some Love, wherever you are. Visit GiveCFC.org to come together and Be the Face of Change. Thank you, Vince Micone Ann Van Houten Chairperson Vice Chairperson Local Federal Coordinating Committee, Local Federal Coordinating Committee, CFCNCA CFCNCA P.S.: Keep this in mind – legislation in 2020 may allow you to take a charitable deduction regardless of itemizing or using the standard deduction. Please consult with your tax advisor for qualifying charitable donations! Colleagues, I am thrilled once again to serve as the Honorary Chairperson for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Being part of the CFC takes my service as Director of the Peace Corps to even greater heights, and provides me the opportunity to help those in need by joining forces and combining efforts and generosity with all. This year, I invite all members of the federal community – wherever you are, if you are working from home or back in your office – to join the CFC community andBe the Face of Change. This year has challenged us all in unexpected ways, but the season of giving is a time to reflect and remember our blessings too. Consider opening your heart and making a pledge to help those less fortunate through the CFC. Federal employees, you’re also invited to donate your time with a pledge of volunteer hours. You can browse this catalogue for numerous opportunities to engage and give back to our local, national, and global communities. People in need around the world are relying on our help now more than ever. Together, we can make a difference. Give to a charitable cause you care about through the CFC now! Thank you for your generosity and choosing to Show Some Love. Sincerely, Dr. Jody K.
