    Nota de Prensa nº 140/2016 - Madrid, 28 de octubre de 2016 / [email protected] / www.rfea.es CAMPEONATO DEL MUNDO DE TRAIL Este próximo sábado 29O en la localidad portuguesa de Geres, ubicada en el Parque Nacional de Peneda-Geres, en la Región Norte de Portugal, tendrá lugar el II Campeonato del Mundo de Trail, con un recorrido de 85 kilómetros y 4.680 metros de desnivel compensado. En la pasada edición, disputada en Annecy (FRA), la Selección Española logró un importante éxito tras conseguir tres medallas, dos de ellas individuales a cargo de Luis Alberto Hernando, que fue subcampeón del mundo y medalla de plata, y de Maite Maiora, tercera y medalla de bronce, y otra medalla más por equipos, pues nuestras mujeres fueron segundas del mundo y por lo tanto medalla de plata. En esta ocasión, repite Luis Alberto Hernando (en la imagen), pero no competirá Maite Maiora al encontrarse lesionada y causar baja una vez seleccionada por el Comité Técnico de la RFEA. España, que aspira a lograr dos grandes clasificaciones por equipos, acude a Portugal con dos formaciones integradas por Raquel Martínez, Laia Cañes, Gemma Arenas, Azara García, Uxue Fraile y Teresa Nimes en mujeres, además de Tòfol Castanyer, Yeray Durán, Pablo Villa, Luis Alberto Hernando y Pau Capell en hombres. A priori, los principales rivales de España son las selecciones de Estados Unidos, Francia, Gran Bretaña y la anfitriona Portugal.
