New quarantines in 5 communes: from this Friday at 10 PM, Quillota, Graneros, Calera de Tango, El ​ Monte and Talagante will be included. The current quarantines are renewed for one more week. Besides, sanitary barriers will be applied for long weekends in , Gran Concepción and Valparaíso, from Friday at 6pm until Monday at 10pm.

Chile exceeds one million tests: Subsecretary of Assistance Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, reported that the capacity of daily tests was increased to 23 thousand.

The University of Washington projects 25,000 deaths in October: the peak of active cases in ​ would be in mid-August with around 106,000 (in the worst scenario with restrictions lifted), while the peak of daily deaths would be July 16 with 406 (if restrictions and protection measures are maintained).

Government presents a project for caregivers of preschool children in pandemic: mothers or fathers with children up to 7 years old will be able to access the Employment Protection Act. Furthermore, for workers with post-natal leave or leave that expires during the pandemic, an additional increase of 5% in the benefit and a guaranteed monthly flat of $ 300,000 is contemplated.

President of the TC appealed to branches of government to "respect the Constitution": in the ​ middle of the struggle between the Government and Congress over the admissibility of bills. Four of the ten ministers criticized the timeliness and relevance of a public statement.
