Marketing Executive Marketing Executive The Brisbane Heat is one of eight teams competing in the KFC T20 Big Bash League (BBL). Owned and supported by Queensland Cricket, but managed by a dedicated team with an independent Board, the Heat is a new and exciting brand on the Queensland sporting landscape. Are you seeking an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? The inaugural season of the BBL was a huge success and an opportunity has arisen in the role of Marketing Executive. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position is for an experienced marketing all-rounder seeking the next step in their career. You will have experience in managing multiple tasks at any one time and play a critical role in the promotion of the Brisbane Heat. Key responsibilities include: Assist in the development and management of the marketing plan, including strategy and implementation Liaise with and service Brisbane Heat sponsors Liaise with the playing squad in relation to player appearances, promotions, communications, apparel and equipment Manage and co-ordinate match day event presentation Liaise with Brisbane Heat’s third party creative and digital agency Liaise with Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket Assist with website and social media content The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in a similar marketing role, ideally within a sporting organisation. Ideally, they will be tertiary qualified in marketing and experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders. They will be creative, willing to get their hands dirty and possess strong leadership qualities. Interested?? Gannon made his first-class debut in a Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania in October 2010 and was added as a member of the 2011–2012 Queensland Bulls squad, on a rookie contract. In 2012 he made his Twenty20 debut in 2012 in the KFC Big Bash League but it was the 2013- 14 tournament where Gannon announced himself and became the tournaments leading wicket taker for that season combining pace at the top of the order with slow-ball varieties at the tail of the innings. Gannon’s promising start to his domestic career stalled when he was suspended by Cricket Australia for an illegal bowling action in 2013. Having re-modelled his action and been cleared to return for the 2013- 14 season Gannon had been in and out of the Queensland team until a consistent run in 2019-20 saw him become the Sheffield Shield leading wicket taker for that season.
